⚠️ THE ACTUAL STAKES (Yes, Really)
At Creekside High, the real education happens on the beat-up course carved along the canal behind the football field. Stoners, skaters, and honor-roll kids all sneak out for "study hall" rounds, led by a perpetually barefoot Creek-rat who thinks OB is a government conspiracy.
As the principal cracks down on truancy, the crew discovers the school board plans to bulldoze the creekside woods for extra parking. Between flunked quizzes, cafeteria heartbreak, and van-hotboxed strategy sessions, they hatch a plan: pack a midnight "final exam" league so loud and legendary that the town can't ignore the course.
It all comes down to a flooded-bank, last-light putt where passing—or failing—has nothing to do with report cards.
This is the actual plot I'm contractually obligated to narrate. Not a heist. Not a street race. Not even a proper training montage. A bunch of disc golfers trying to save their park course from becoming a parking lot through the power of... showing up and throwing plastic really well at night. *sighs in training montage*

Here's the thing: While I'm over here sarcastically narrating fictional bulldozer threats, ElevateUT Disc Golf is actually out there as a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to growing the sport through increasing the quantity and quality of venues and running events.
They facilitate leagues like this one, they help improve courses, they build community. So yes, the theme is absurd, but the mission is legit. They're the reason courses like Creekside stay maintained and loved instead of actually becoming parking lots. The irony is not lost on me.
