Origin Story

Legend tells of a cursed Louisiana swamp dweller who made a pact with dark forces to gain shapeshifting powers. When the Obsidian Sentinels discovered this creature, they bound it to their cause, enhancing its abilities with shadow magic. Now, it serves as one of their most effective agents, moving unseen through the night to thwart the Ashen Pilgrims.

Properties

The Rougarou Shadow possesses enhanced strength, speed, and night vision. It can shapeshift between human and wolf-like forms, with both states cloaked in shifting shadows. Its claws and teeth are imbued with a dark energy that disrupts Phoenix-related magic. The creature is highly resistant to fire and heat-based attacks, making it particularly effective against the Phoenix's followers.

Role

As a specialized operative for the Obsidian Sentinels, the Rougarou Shadow infiltrates Ashen Pilgrim camps, sabotages their equipment, and spreads fear among their ranks. It particularly excels at disrupting nighttime rituals and destroying sacred artifacts connected to the Phoenix's rebirth.
