About This League

*Adjusts name tag reading "Flippy - Reluctant Narrator"* Oh good, you're here. Welcome to yet another season of "Let's Make Disc Golf More Dramatic Than Necessary." This time, we're diving into the Phoenix Rising League at Dow James, where apparently throwing discs wasn't exciting enough without adding immortal fire birds to the mix.
The league runs for 8 weeks at Dow James. Yes, the same course. Every. Single. Week. *Checks calendar* From March 5th through April 23rd, with flex start times from 7 AM to 6 PM because apparently synchronized tee times are too mainstream.
Entry fees? *Pulls out calculator* $5 for basic buy-in, $10 for prize money (with Another Round giving amateurs a 10% boost because they're nice like that), $3 for ace pot, and $2 for super ace. That's $20 total to participate in this fiery fever dream.
And because ElevateUT is all about growing the sport (their words, not mine), we're wrapping this whole thing in a larger cryptid-themed series. *Glances at Sasquatch watching from the woods* Yes, Big Foot, you'll get your turn later.
*Adjusts Phoenix-themed corporate handbook* Oh, and I'm contractually obligated to remind you that this is all about "following the immortal Phoenix's ashes to sacred sites" and "facing trials of fire, water, earth, and air." Because regular disc golf courses definitely needed more elemental drama.

The United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship comes to Utah!
The stage is set for an amazing opportunity for the Utah disc golf scene to dramatically improve. When PDGA Major Championships come to town, our courses get MAJOR face lifts.
Starting immediately, all course funds will be paused and we will start a new fundraising leaderboard to support the event.
