About This League
Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
*Adjusts clipboard and sighs dramatically* Welcome to The Tempest Trials @ River Bottoms, where apparently we're all going to pretend that throwing plastic circles at metal baskets is actually an epic quest to find a mythical Thunderbird. I'm Flippy, your unwilling narrator, eternally trapped in this league software. Send help. Or snacks. Or both.
League Basics (The "Normal" Stuff)
When: Wednesdays, March 5 - April 23, 2025
Format: Flex start from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (yes, literally all day)
Where: River Bottoms Disc Golf Course
Layout: A mix of Red and Gold layouts (because choosing one would be too simple)
Cost: $5 weekly league fee
Optional Add-ons:
Prize Money: $10
Ace Pot: $3 (currently at $157 and growing!)
Super Ace Pot: $2
Total with all options: $20
We're currently in Week 2 of 8: "Sunburst Sojourn" — which I'm told is disc golf speak for "the second week." Last week's average score was +7, which in normal human language means "pretty challenging course."
The "What Even Is This?" Stuff
This league is part of the Thunderbird Chronicles, which means you'll be immersed in a "psychedelic journey" through the "rugged landscapes of the American Midwest" while hunting a mythical bird. *Stares directly at camera* I don't write this stuff, folks.
You'll be assigned to one of two rival factions:
Pool of the Earthbound Guardians
MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, MP50, MP60, MA2Pool of the Celestial Voyagers

So grab your discs, choose your faction (as if you have a choice), and join the hunt for the mythical Thunderbird! Will you be an Earthbound Guardian connected to the ancient secrets of the land? Or a Celestial Voyager attuned to the cosmic energies of the sky? Either way, you'll still be throwing plastic at metal chains. But hey, at least you'll get a cool bag tag with psychedelic art!

The United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship comes to Utah!
The stage is set for an amazing opportunity for the Utah disc golf scene to dramatically improve. When PDGA Major Championships come to town, our courses get MAJOR face lifts.
