Augmentation Arcade
Jet Masterson and his stegosaurus steed Nova have burst onto the disc golf scene, making a splash at the Rookie Rush qualifier. However, their early success has put them in the crosshairs of the ruthless veteran Erik Hansen and his band of augmentation-obsessed outlaws, Nero's Marauders. As the rivalry between the Nova Brigade and the Marauders intensifies, Jet must confront the temptation of power-enhancing technology while staying true to the natural bond between cowboy and dinosaur. With the specter of illegal SuperZoks looming and the ElevateUT Championship on the line, Jet and Nova will need more than just moxie to outmaneuver their opponents and prove that true champions are forged in the heat of competition, not a laboratory.

"Yeehaw!" Jet Masterson hollered as he clung to Nova's iridescent scales, the wind whipping through his hair. The canyon walls blurred past, a red-rock kaleidoscope that seemed to bend the very fabric of spacetime.
Nova's new augmentation, a sleek chrome device fused to her spine, hummed with an eerie blue light. With each flex of her muscles, they surged forward at impossible speeds, the device enhancing her natural agility to superhuman levels.
Jet whooped with glee as they careened around a hairpin turn, Nova's razor-sharp talons finding purchase in the crumbling stone. But his heart lodged in his throat as her augmentation sputtered, sending a jolt of crackling energy down her flank.
Nova let out a piercing shriek, her tail lashing out uncontrollably. Jet barely managed to dodge the flailing appendage, his eyes wide with sudden terror. "Whoa, girl!" he shouted, his voice nearly lost in the rushing wind. "Easy now!"
With a strained growl, Nova regained control, the device's light stabilizing to a steady pulse. Jet let out a shaky breath, patting her neck reassuringly. "Reckon we still got some kinks to work out, huh, pard?"
As they emerged from the canyon, a glittering oasis rose from the barren plains. The Augmentation Arcade, a pulsing beacon of neon and holo-ads, beckoned to dino jockeys from across the frontier.
Nicholas Jennings stood at the entrance, his Cosmic Carnotaurus gleaming under the binary suns. The towering dino's jet-black scales were accented with swirling nebulae, the cosmic patterns shifting as nanites flowed beneath the surface. Its eyes glowed an ethereal violet, enhanced with targeting optics that could track a disc from three klicks out.
"Fancy meeting you here, buckaroo!" Nicholas called, waving Jet over. "See you finally got that newfangled spine-jack for Nova. She sure looks like a shooting star now!"
Jet grinned, hopping down from Nova's back. "Gotta keep up with you old-timers somehow! But I tell ya, this dadgum thing's got a kick like an ornery mule."
Nicholas chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Reckon that's the price of progress, kid. But you'll get her sorted. It's all about finding that balance 'tween the tech and the soul, ya know?"
Jet nodded thoughtfully, watching as Nova and the Cosmic Carnotaurus sized each other up. The two dinos circled warily, respect and challenge glinting in their augmented eyes.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted from the Arcade entrance. Lina Skyheart burst through the holo-doors, her face flushed with anger. "Those yellow-bellied Marauders tried to poach Azurebolt!" she spat, her fists clenched. "Said a 'pretty little filly' like me don't belong with a bunch of 'starry-eyed hayseed heroes.'"
Jet's jaw tightened, a cold fury rising in his gut. He'd seen the Marauders' cruelty firsthand, but to go after a fellow Brigade member? It was lower than a snake's belly in a meteor crater.
"They'll rue the day they messed with the Nova Brigade," he growled, stepping forward to lay a comforting hand on Lina's shoulder. "We'll show 'em what a couple of 'hayseeds' can do, won't we, pard?"
Lina managed a tight smile, her eyes shining with grateful determination.
Nicholas nodded, his gaze hardening. "Reckon it's time we taught those varmints a lesson. And I got just the plan." He turned to his Cosmic Carnotaurus, a sly grin spreading across his weathered face. "What d'ya say, CC? Ready to show these young bucks how it's done?"
The towering dino let out a rumbling growl of assent, its violet eyes flashing with anticipation.
As the trio mounted up, Jett Novak's voice crackled over the Arcade's loudspeakers. "Looks like the Nova Brigade's ready to ride, folks! And with Nicholas Jennings leading the charge on that souped-up Carnotaurus, I reckon the Marauders better watch their backs!"
Jet exchanged a determined nod with Lina and Nicholas. Together, they spurred their dinos forward, charging into the glittering heart of the Augmentation Arcade. It was time to take the fight to Nero and his goons, and show the whole dadgum galaxy what the Nova Brigade was made of.
The Lonestar Liftoff was just over the horizon, and with it, a chance to prove that heart and grit could still triumph over cold steel and ruthless ambition. As they rode, Jet could feel Nova's augmentation thrumming in perfect synch with her bounding strides, a testament to the unbreakable bond between dino and rider.
"Hold onto your Stetsons, folks!" Jett's voice boomed. "This here's gonna be a showdown for the ages!"
Jet couldn't help but grin as the wind whipped through his hair. The Marauders may have had the tech, but the Brigade had something far more powerful: the courage to stand for what was right, and the unshakable loyalty of friends who'd ride with you to the ends of the universe.
In the end, that was what being a space cowboy was all about. And as long as Jet had Nova and his Brigade at his side, he reckoned there weren't nothing in this cosmos they couldn't wrangle.
The frontier was calling, and the Nova Brigade was ready to answer. With a rallying cry, they blazed a trail of cosmic dust, riding hell-bent for leather into the starry unknown.
