Created in The Runed Pistons' experimental forge chambers, the Furnace Serpent emerged from an attempt to replicate the Clockwork Dragon's power source using concentrated heat and runic arrays. The intense fusion of thermal energy and arcane runes resulted in a semi-sentient mechanical serpent that channels magical force through its superheated core.

The Furnace Serpent maintains an internal temperature hot enough to melt steel, converting magical energy into pure thermal force through its network of runic pistons. Its segmented body contains multiple pressure chambers that can generate explosive bursts of steam-powered movement. The creature's runic markings pulse with intense energy when it channels power through its systems.

Serves as The Runed Pistons' primary experimental platform for testing new combinations of thermal engineering and runic magic. Its successful operation represents a proof-of-concept for their theories about harnessing the Clockwork Dragon's power.
