The Redacted File was once a standard player record within the Bureau's database. When the Containment Zone protocols were implemented, all files were partially redacted to protect 'ongoing investigations.' The most interesting files - those belonging to players whose histories were deemed too revealing - absorbed the redaction marks and became physical artifacts that now exist in the real world.

Higher clearance allows players to read more of opponents' files - revealing hidden advantages, past performance patterns, or 'classified' achievements. Low clearance players remain mysterious figures with redacted capabilities.
