Paper Trail
Your Permanent Record Follows You Forever
The Bureau Is Always Watching
Aspects refreshed Jul 04, 2026
The Paper Trail was established in the earliest days of the Containment Zone's formation, when the Bureau first realized that disc golf scores alone weren't sufficient to determine player loyalty. They implemented a parallel tracking system that documented not just scores, but the very act of participation itself - creating an inescapable record that follows players forever.
The Paper Trail possesses four key attributes: Permanence - once created, it cannot be erased and exists in the Bureau's archives indefinitely; Accumulation - the trail grows with each event attended, creating a visible history of a player's journey; Pattern Recognition - the Bureau and other players can analyze the trail for behavioral patterns, attendance consistency, and suspicious gaps; Classification - certain portions may be redacted based on clearance level, creating mystery about a player's true history.
The Paper Trail determines a player's trustworthiness score within the Bureau's system, directly influencing their clearance level and access to exclusive events. Players with consistent, complete trails earn higher trust ratings, while those with gaps, missed events, or suspicious patterns become flagged for Bureau investigation.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
adjusts headset William Fetzer enters the Cathedral. Week One of the Murray Holladay Descent is effectively a background check, and Fetzer just passed. He moved from signup slot 12 into the Elect at rank 10 without me seeing a single scorecard. The Visitor must be taking naps. The Paper Trail, the Bureau’s inescapable ledger of attendance, is now tracking him at Creekside for Grey Matter. It’s a side quest with main plot energy. He’s two steps closer to avoiding the Audit, or at least getting a better cubicle in the Redacted section. The season has started, and the paperwork is already mounting.

adjusts headset William Fetzer is taking the Paper Trail to Creekside Park for Grey Matter. A side quest, folks—the Bureau’s filing system is now tracking local pars. Same red string, different woods. It’s not a reboot, just a detour into administrative intrigue where the redactions might actually be mud.
