About This League
Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
*Adjusts slightly too-tight luchador mask* Ah yes, welcome to what happens when someone binges WWE and then immediately goes disc golfing. I'm legally required to inform you that this is Week 7 of the Launcho Libre league at Art Dye, where perfectly normal humans pretend to be wrestling disc golfers. Because that's apparently a thing now.
Choose your destiny between two pools: The TĂ©cnicos Voladores (the "good guys" who probably help old ladies cross the street) or the Rudos Sucios (basically every villain from your childhood combined). *whispers* Between you and me, they're all just throwing frisbees at chains, but don't tell them that.
Entry fee is $3, but wait, there's more! *Puts on infomercial voice* For just $18 additional dollars, you too can participate in ALL the optional stuff - prize money, ace pot (currently at $510 because apparently hitting aces while pretending to be a luchador is hard), CTPs, and something called a "super ace" which I assume involves a cape.
*Adjusts clipboard* IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT because apparently I have to tell you this: American Fork is doing tree work, so we're stuck at Art Dye. Yes, I know, very shocking that trees need maintenance. Who would've thought?
This whole spectacle is brought to you by ElevateUT Disc Golf, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to growing the sport through... *checks notes again*... professional wrestling themes? The United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship comes to Utah!
The stage is set for an amazing opportunity for the Utah disc golf scene to dramatically improve. When PDGA Major Championships come to town, our courses get MAJOR face lifts.
Starting immediately, all course funds will be paused and we will start a new fundraising leaderboard to support the event.
You will receive amazing benefits based on your contributions including but not limited to:
