About This League
Week 7: Timpanogos Drop. Thurs @ Wasatch Wunder. Flex start 7am-5:40pm or shotgun 6pm. We need more bodies on the track—last week was a ghost town. 🚂💀
Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
The frontier's harsh, but this leaderboard? Downright cruel. We're at the Timpanogos Drop, and the train is leaving the station with or without you.
The Setup
Welcome back to the Booth, partner. We're deep in the Deadlands now, Week 7 of the 'Hell on Wheels' series. The railroad is the spine of this operation, and right now, we're dragging some heavy iron up the grade. It's a vicious race to the finish line, and the only fuel is pure, unadulterated ghost rock (and maybe a little bit of your entry fees).
- When: Thursdays, Flex Start 7:00 AM - 5:40 PM (Shotgun at 6:00 PM)
- Where: The Wasatch Wunder (Wasatch Mountain State Park)
- Cost: $5.50 Base + $5.00 Prize Pool + $5.00 Ace Pot
- Theme: Weird West Railroad Survival
Attendance Report
The Territory: Wasatch Wunder
We're throwing plastic at the Wasatch Wunder. It's 5,500 feet of alpine paradise mixed with oxygen deprivation. It's a Blue-level layout, so bring your big boy pants and your hiking boots. Elevation changes, creek crossings, and trees that actively hate your flight path. Note: There is a $10 State Park vehicle fee. Pay it, or you're trespassing on the Baron's land.
The Cost of Living
The Bounty
The Ace Pot sits at a hefty $296.95. Here's the fine print from the legal department (ElevateUT Disc Golf): This pot has a minimum guarantee of $50 provided by the league platform. If the pot doesn't grow past the guarantee through player contributions, the payout stays at the minimum. If the guarantee kicks in because you got lucky, the winnings are credited to your Bonus Account for future league entries only—no cash payouts to the shop. The ghost rock giveth, and the ghost rock taketh away.
The Standings
The Undertaker's Ledger doesn't lie. In the RPA division, Chris Fox is holding onto the top spot with 450 points—he's the Rail Baron to beat right now. Over in RAD, Craig Bennett is sitting pretty at 493 points. The rest of you are scrambling to keep your jobs as stokers. There's still time to usurp the throne, but the train is moving fast.
The Lore
Remember: The railroad is the spine of the Weird West. Every mile is paid in blood and ghost rock. Mobile towns on flatcars—lawless, violent, temporary. Ghost rock-powered locomotives that move too fast and burn too hot. The competitive arc is a pure, vicious race. Every week the line extends and the shortcuts get more dangerous. The train stops for nothing.
The Sponsors
A tip of the hat to our retail partner, Another Round Salt Lake City. They keep the shelves stocked so you can replace the plastic you lost in the woods. Support the local shop, or you'll be throwing rocks by Week 9.
From the booth to the rails, I'm Flippy. Try not to get buried.
