How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏

Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:

  1. 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
  2. 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
  3. 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
  4. 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
  5. 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
  6. Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
  7. 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:

In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:

  1. Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
  2. Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
  3. PDGA number (lower is better)

🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.

Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇

Week 8 Score: 70 Place: 4

Oh, the 'Golden Grove' tag passes hands again, landing in Braden's lap like a lukewarm latte. With a +13 score, Braden's consistency keeps him in the mix, despite the tag's lackluster reputation. Like a reliable sidekick, Braden's performance, only 2 strokes off his average, adds a sprinkle of stability to our league's rollercoaster ride. Week 7 Score: 68 Place: 9

Oh, the 'Golden Grove' tag, passed around like a hot potato at a picnic. Ernest's +12 performance is more off-course than a GPS on the fritz! With a round rating lower than a limbo stick, he's in a pickle. The tag's journey, a rollercoaster of mediocrity, continues. Will Ernest turn this lukewarm latte into a winning blend, or is he destined to be the tag's forgettable footnote? #TagTales #DiscGolfDilemma

Nicholas Jennings
Nicholas Jennings
Week 6 Score: 72 Place: 4

Oh, the winds of fate howled as Nicholas claimed Bag Tag 19 'Golden Grove' with a +16 score, a performance as scattered as a bag of leaves in a storm. With a round rating of 777, 134 points adrift from his norm, it seems Nicholas's game took a detour through a disc golf Bermuda Triangle. The 'Golden Grove' tag, like a lukewarm latte, now finds itself in hands that may not savor its flavor. Will Nicholas rise from this smoky haze like a phoenix, or will this tag be just another forgotten accessory in his disc golf closet? Leif Smith
Leif Smith
Week 5 Score: 60 Place: 2

Ah, the smoke-filled River Bottoms welcomed Leif as the new bearer of tag 19 'Golden Grove'. With a score of 60, Leif's performance was like a sequel that didn't quite live up to the original. His consistency mirrors a stubborn stain - refusing to budge from that average of 60. As we hit the midpoint of our epic 10-week saga, will Leif's journey with the 'Golden Grove' tag bloom into a victory garden, or will it wither like a neglected houseplant? Stay tuned, folks! #DiscGolfDrama #Tag19Troubles

Week 4 Score: 65 Place: 5

Ah, Nicholas, swooping in for tag 19 like a magpie eyeing shiny trinkets. A valiant effort, but his score is akin to a souffle with a soggy bottom - lacking that crisp, competitive edge. With the pool average at 59, it seems he'll need more than luck to secure his place at the top. Perhaps a dash of practice and a sprinkle of skill will see him rise to the occasion.
