How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏
Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:
- 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
- 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
- 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
- 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
- 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
- ⏳ Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
- 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:
In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:
- Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
- Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
- PDGA number (lower is better)
🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.
Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇
Willow Whorl's Current Holder
Tag History
Bag Tag 17 'Willow Whorl' trades hands to Grant, who's slaying the game with a sleek E. Grant's on fire, torching the field average by 2.6 strokes! With a round rating spike of +59, Grant's playing like a disc golf deity. This tag might be "just ok," but Grant's performance is top-notch. Craig and Scott's lukewarm legacies pale next to Grant's blazing trail. Willow Whorl's fate hangs in the balance—will Grant ascend to tag legend status, or will this tag's journey wilt like a soggy disc in the rain? The grand finale's suspense is real!
Bag Tag 17 'Willow Whorl' continues its lukewarm journey, now in Craig's hands after a +1 performance. Craig's like the reliable side character in a sitcom, staying close to their league average amidst the calm River bottoms. This tag's saga is more predictable than a putt from 10 feet—no one's losing sleep over it. As we near the league finale, will Craig's consistency pay off like a perfect drive, or will they plateau like a disc stuck in the rough? The drama unfolds as we approach the grand showdown!
Oh, Bag Tag 17 'Willow Whorl,' you're like that forgettable rom-com everyone watches on a rainy Sunday. Scott defended you with a +4, performing worse than a disc caught in a tree. With a round rating of 868, Scott's game was shakier than a rookie's first throw. This tag is the lukewarm latte of the league—no one's shedding tears to hold it. As we near the grand finale, will Scott surprise us all with a comeback like a disc miraculously finding the basket, or will they continue their spiral down the scoreboard like a missed ace opportunity? Stay tuned for the next episode of 'The Mediocre Misadventures of Bag Tag 17'!
Bag Tag 17 'Willow Whorl' just switched hands to Scott, who's probably feeling more 'meh' than 'yeah' after clocking +7 strokes, straying further from their league average than a lost disc in the woods. With a windstorm straight out of a dystopian movie, Scott's 868 round rating was as shaky as a wobbly putt. This tag's journey is like a rollercoaster—some highs, some lows, but mostly just loops of mediocrity. As we near the league's climax, will Scott rise like a disc golf phoenix or keep spiraling down the leaderboard like a rogue roller? Tune in next round to find out!
Ah, newcomer Brandon enters the scene with a bang, snagging the coveted Willow Whorl tag with a respectable 53. No history, no problem. Let's see if this rising star can maintain their momentum in the league.
