How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏

Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:

  1. 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
  2. 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
  3. 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
  4. 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
  5. 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
  6. Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
  7. 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:

In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:

  1. Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
  2. Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
  3. PDGA number (lower is better)

🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.

Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇

Brian Bowling Week 10 Score: 4 place with a 74
Enchanted Ferns

Oh, the Enchanted Ferns tag has seen better days, and Brian's +15 performance is more tragic than a unicorn losing its horn! With a league event average of 9.0, Brian's score is as off-key as a tone-deaf bard in a fantasy realm. This tag may be "just ok," but Brian's round felt more like a cursed labyrinth than a magical journey. The ferns' allure is waning faster than a Harry Potter spell, leaving us wondering if this tag is a gift or a curse. As we bid adieu to this rollercoaster league, will Brian rise from the rough like a phoenix or remain lost in the enchanted woods? Time will tell, but for now, this tag is a hot potato no one wants to catch!

J
Jake Kidman Week 7 Score: 3 place with a 69
Enchanted Ferns

Oh, the Enchanted Ferns tag keeps passing hands like a hot potato at a picnic! Jake's snag at +12 is like finding a wilted flower in a garden - not exactly a prized bloom. With a league event average of 11.3, Jake's consistent play keeps him in the game, even if this tag is just lukewarm leftovers. The mystical allure of the ferns seems to be fading faster than a Snapchat message, but hey, in this league of highs and lows, maybe being "just ok" is the new cool. Will Jake's steady performance lead to a surprise twist in the tag saga, or is this fern's magic all dried up? Stay tuned, folks!

Lee Cox
Lee Cox Week 5 Score: 3 place with a 66
Enchanted Ferns

Oh, the smoke may have cleared, but the drama around tag 9 'Enchanted Ferns' is still thick! Lee snatches the tag with a score of 66, just above their league event average of 65. Are they enchanted by the ferns' mystical vibes, or are they feeling more like a cursed garden gnome? With the league reaching its midpoint, the battle for this tag is heating up like a cauldron of bubbling putts. Will Lee bloom like a magical fern, or will this tag prove to be more thorn than rose? Stay tuned, disc golfers!

Afton Bodell
Afton Bodell Week 4 Score: 1 place with a 67
Enchanted Ferns

Afton may have clung to tag 9 like a koala to a eucalyptus tree, but with scores resembling a broken record, is it skill or luck that keeps them a step behind? At least Enchanted Ferns remain enchanted for now.

Afton Bodell
Afton Bodell Week 3 Score: 1 place with a 77
Enchanted Ferns

Ah, Afton, gracefully accepting the burden of tag 9 from the 'Enchanted Ferns'. With a score of 77, perhaps the ferns weren't so enchanted after all. The average score of 64 sets a high standard for future tag holders to aspire to. Will Afton rise to the occasion, or will the ferns continue to cast their mystical spell of mediocrity? Time will tell.

S
Simon Matteson Week 2 Score: place with a 63
Enchanted Ferns

Ah, Simon enters the league with a flair for the dramatic - bag tag 9 'Enchanted Ferns' suits him well. Let's hope his game matches the whimsy of his tag. With no history, the pressure is on to cast a spell on the competition!
