Lost in the Database Void
Aspects refreshed Feb 10, 2026
Born from the Blockbuster late fee system that charged customers even when tapes sat unwatched on shelves, the Intermission Tribunal emerged as the Chaintrix's answer to players who thought absence meant amnesty.
Manifests as frozen countdown timers overlaid on tracking-line static, each pause frame containing scrolling judgment data in Blockbuster-gold text. Takes physical form as theater lobby posters that list player names under either 'COMING ATTRACTIONS' (cleared for next simulation) or 'FINAL SHOWINGS' (facing elimination). The space between the posters crackles with pink-to-purple gradient energy that intensifies when evaluating no-show violations.
Acts as the bridging authority between all 16 movie simulations, making certain that no player escapes judgment by simply waiting for the next feature to start.

Born in the silent scream of a paused VHS tape, Tag #25: Intermission Tribunal was forged from the injustice of late fees on movies never watched. Now it haunts the Chaintrix, judging players who skip rounds like forgotten rentals. Its posters flicker in the static between worlds—names glowing under COMING ATTRACTIONS or FINAL SHOWINGS—while the hum of unpaid dues crackles in the void. Absence isn’t escape. It’s just intermission.
adjusts headset Malachi Vazquez thought he could skip league and ghost the rankings. Cute. Tag #25: Intermission Tribunal has other plans. One minute he’s dodging commitment, the next—static flicker—his name glows under COMING ATTRACTIONS in Blockbuster gold. The Tribunal hums with overdue justice. Attendance isn’t optional, Malachi. It’s mandatory viewing.
