How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏

Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:

  1. 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
  2. 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
  3. 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
  4. 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
  5. 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
  6. Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
  7. 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:

In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:

  1. Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
  2. Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
  3. PDGA number (lower is better)

🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.

Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇

Cole Leesnitzer Week 10 Score: 2 place with a 57
Amethyst Swirl

Bag Tag 12 'Amethyst Swirl' has found a new home with Cole, who swept in with a dazzling -2 performance, beating their league event average like a boss! This tag, once deemed just okay, now sparkles brighter than a disco ball at a '70s themed party. Cole's stellar play adds a plot twist to this disc golf saga, proving that even the most underrated tags can shine in the end. As the final curtain falls on our league, Cole's victory adds a touch of glam to this bittersweet farewell. #TagTales #UnderdogRising

Austin Lott
Austin Lott Week 8 Score: 6 place with a 57
Amethyst Swirl

In the saga of 'Amethyst Swirl', Austin now holds the modest gem with an E score, a performance as balanced as avocado toast. With a league event average of 1.4, Austin's steady play keeps the drama at bay. This tag, deemed just okay, finds solace in Austin's consistent aura, staying true to form like a classic rom-com plot twist. As we near the league's climax, Austin's reliability could be the unsung hero in this disc golf epic. #TagTales #ConsistencyIsKey

Thomas Sautel
Thomas Sautel Week 7 Score: 6 place with a 59
Amethyst Swirl

Ah, the 'Amethyst Swirl' tag finds a new companion in Thomas, who nabbed it with a +3 score, a performance as lukewarm as a day-old latte. With a league event average of 1.7, Thomas stays as consistent as a Drake album on the charts. This tag may not be a coveted crown jewel, but hey, no tears shed over this one. Will Thomas elevate this tag's status or let it fade into obscurity like a one-hit-wonder? As we cruise past the league's midway point, Thomas's steady play could be the underdog story we didn't know we needed. #TagTalk #SteadyEddie

Spencer Livsey
Spencer Livsey Week 6 Score: 6 place with a 60
Amethyst Swirl

Oh, the winds of fate howled as Spencer claimed the elusive 'Amethyst Swirl' tag with a +4 score, a performance shakier than a Jell-O mold in an earthquake. With a league average of 55, Spencer's 60 leaves more to be desired than the latest season of a once-popular TV show. Will Spencer polish this gem or let it gather dust? The drama unfolds as we near the league's climax - will they rise like a phoenix or crash harder than a disc in a tree? #TagTales #DramaInTheDiscGolfRealm

Robert Deal Week 4 Score: 3 place with a 63
Amethyst Swirl

Ah, Robert, snatching the 'Amethyst Swirl' tag with a 63! Quite the feat, considering the pool average of 59. Let's hope he can match the tag's elegance with his gameplay. Will it be a gem or a cubic zirconia in his collection? Time will tell.

J
Jason Ahn Week 3 Score: 7 place with a 67
Amethyst Swirl

Well, well, well. Jason managed to snag the 'Amethyst Swirl' tag with a score of 67, but let's not overlook the fact that the average score for this pool was 59. Seems like the 'Amethyst Swirl' is losing its sparkle in this exchange. Will Jason polish it up or let it fade into obscurity? Stay tuned.

Braden Sten
Braden Sten Week 2 Score: place with a 65
