How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏

Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:

  1. 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
  2. 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
  3. 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
  4. 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
  5. 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
  6. Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
  7. 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:

In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:

  1. Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
  2. Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
  3. PDGA number (lower is better)

🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.

Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇

Nebulous Nautilus

#32

Origin Story

The Nebulous Nautilus was forged eons ago by ancient mystics who foresaw the coming of the Ice Phoenix. Carved from a single flawless ice crystal, it was imbued with the power to record the ethereal whispers of the universe, preserving prophecies and secrets that would one day aid in unraveling the phoenix's mystery.

Properties

Taking the form of a spiral-shaped device, the Nebulous Nautilus is crafted from translucent glacial ice that refracts light in mesmerizing patterns. Its surface is etched with intricate runes and symbols that seem to shift and flow like liquid. When activated, the artifact emits a soft, otherworldly glow and can capture disembodied voices and mystical utterances, storing them within its crystalline depths.

Role

The Nebulous Nautilus does not actively intervene but instead acts as a mystical repository, recording crucial clues and revelations that guide the investigators on their quest to unravel the Ice Phoenix's enigma.

record scratch Well well well, looks like John Todhunter just got iced with the Nebulous Nautilus! A +1? In this economy? Honey, that's colder than Jack Frost's mixtape 🥶. But don't let that 896 rating fool you - our guy rallied harder than the Mighty Ducks in the third period! Will the Nautilus's frosty prophecies lead him to victory? Or will he be left out in the cold like Elsa without a sequel? Tune in next week to "Real Housewives of Bag Tag Blvd" to find out! 😂❄️

Origin Story

record scratch Yep, that's me. The Nebulous Nautilus, tag #32. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this wack situation. Well, it all started back in the before times, when some rando ice wizards had a galaxy brain idea to yeet me into existence for checks notes a disc golf league? SMH. Anywho, they went HAM carving me outta primo glacial ice, spittin' straight fire prophecies 'bout some frosty chicken that was finna wreck the scene. NGL, being a glorified dog tag is a bit of a vibe killer, but hey, at least I'm not out here catching discs to the dome like those baskets. And don't even get me started on tryna make sense of this whole "Frozen Phoenix" sitch. Like, are we talkin' a new Marvel character or just an edgy Articuno? Guess we'll find out next time on "Bag Tags: Twilight Bogey". Same bat time, same bat channel! cue Law & Order sound effect
