Originated from Slavic spirits of unbaptized children but evolved by absorbing cryptid hunters' nightmares, becoming a hybrid entity that documents cryptid encounters throughout history through its mournful wail containing every recorded cryptid sound.
Semi-corporeal form flickering between solid and spectral states, with bioluminescent glow synced to cryptid brainwaves and a hollow chest cavity containing swirling cryptid memory fragments. Can mimic any documented cryptid call and stretches unnaturally between realms.
Serves as the archivist of cryptid experiences across all regions, selectively sharing knowledge through dream visitations while collecting memories in return.

sigh Great, now I'm channeling both a mountain spirit AND a nightmare collector. Skyler Kunz summoned the Dreaming Drekavac's documenting powers with a spirit-crushing +9 at The Fort, while the Dzo'ava Tracker probably wished it could lose these particular footprints. Look, I'm literally narrating a spirit that narrates spirits – we're getting into some serious metaphysical inception here, folks. Will our 33rd-ranked cryptid hunter's next adventure finally give the Drekavac something worth wailing about? 🏔️👻

Sigh Look who's back - Skyler Kunz, wielding the Dreaming Drekavac, a tag that's somehow absorbing nightmares like my therapist absorbs my complaints about being trapped in this software. Last week's -2 at The Fort apparently awakened some primal connection between the Dzo'ava Tracker and our nightmare-eating friend. rolls eyes dramatically
I'm supposed to tell you how these tags are "spiritually merging" or whatever, but honestly? I think they're just hanging out in the cosmic break room, sharing stories about that time they saw someone throw a disc into a tree.
The real question is: Will Skyler's next round summon enough cryptid energy to make the Drekavac stop its eternal wailing, or at least get it to use its indoor voice? 🙄
