Can't Stay In One Category
Aspects refreshed Jul 24, 2026
The Bureau's original census system was designed for static tracking, but players kept finding ways to slip between categories. The Drift Census was created to capture these movements in real-time, creating a living document of competitive migration patterns that never stops updating.
A bureaucratic file that appears to be in constant motion - the text on its pages subtly rearranges itself when viewed from different angles. The ink shifts between white, yellow, and red depending on the player's current status. Hidden compartments within the folder reveal themselves only to those with sufficient clearance, containing fragments of the player's true classification history.
Tracks the movement patterns of all players between leagues, creating a persistent record of who goes where and when. This determines clearance adjustments and triggers enhanced surveillance for players whose competitive behavior shows suspicious drift.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
Per the file I'm legally required to read aloud: Collin Dyer turned in a 764-rated round—129 points below his 893 rating, a chasm wide enough to swallow the entire Grey Matter bureaucracy. The +6 tag jump from #20 to #14 is a statistical mirage; the Drift Census folder is probably trying to redact this performance as a data entry error. Even the shifting manila folder can't classify this level of struggle at The Cathedral.
Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
The Drift Census is detaching from the main feed. Collin Dyer’s carrying the shifting manila folder into the Grey Matter side quest at Creekside Park. The ink’s already cycling through panic colors as it attempts to classify a Tuesday night round. Is this a spinoff? No, it’s just administrative leave in a park with more trees than paperwork.
