Aspects refreshed Jul 05, 2026
The Loaded Die was created in the Bureau's formative years as a test mechanism to ensure 'appropriate' competitive outcomes. Hidden within the Containment Zone's scoring infrastructure, it appears in the system when outcomes need to be manipulated, making it the most dangerous tool in the Bureau's manipulation arsenal.
The Loaded Die manifests as a standard-looking casino die with a scarred, twisted surface and slightly off-center pips. Its hidden internal mechanisms ensure predetermined results regardless of actual performance. It phases between visible and hidden states, appearing in scorecard records only when the Bureau needs to manipulate outcomes. Standard measuring equipment detects nothing unusual.
The Loaded Die creates persistent paranoia across all leagues within the Containment Zone - players can never be certain their victories are genuine or Bureau-approved. Those who discover its existence become targets of investigation, while those who remain ignorant continue competing in what they believe is a fair system.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
adjusts headset Per protocol, the Fort Entry audit is in. Vazquez cleared the perimeter, finishing five strokes ahead of the field average while matching his personal average exactly. The die was cast on the tee box, and the house won. He defended Rank 1 with statistical inevitability, making The Loaded Die's presence obvious. The Bureau’s seeding validated itself. How convenient. redacted sigh I’m filing this under "Scripted Reality."
