*Adjusts corporate-mandated storytelling hat* Ah yes, welcome to Ascent of the Abominable, where ElevateUT Disc Golf apparently thinks the best way to grow disc golf is by sending players on a mythical creature hunt. Because why not? *shrugs dramatically*
Every Tuesday, you can choose your own adventure time between 7 AM and 6 PM at either The Fort Buenaventura or The Observatory Park. We're alternating courses weekly because apparently one course isn't enough to contain all this... *gestures vaguely* ...narrative.
Choose your faction: The Whiteout Guardians (MPO, FPO, etc.) who take themselves way too seriously, or the Frostbite Seekers (MA2, MA3, etc.) who are basically the "hold my beer" crowd of cryptozoology. Both pools have their own layouts because... *checks notes* ...something about "maintaining the balance of ancient wisdom." Sure.
Entry is $5 base, plus whatever optional add-ons you want to throw at: $10 for prize money (boosted 10% at Disctracted for amateurs), $3 for ace pot (currently a whopping $345), and $2 for super ace pot. Oh, and IMPORTANT - The Fort is pay-to-play ($4/round). Yes, you have to pay to throw plastic at metal. Welcome to capitalism!
Currently on Week 5 of 8 - "Shimmering Shrines." *rolls eyes at dramatic episode title* But don't worry, you can still join our merry band of yeti hunters mid-season. Because nothing says "epic quest" like jumping in during Act 2!
*Adjusts storyteller hat one final time* And remember, this is all for a good cause - ElevateUT Disc Golf is actually a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to growing the sport. Though I'm pretty sure "summoning ancient cryptids" wasn't in their original mission statement...
