Mary Gets Her Name Back ๐ชง
Sixteen players, a 2024 Redesign layout, and a park that spent forty years filed under the wrong name โ Week 5 is "Mary Restored," and the correction has been entered into the record. Week 4 moved the baskets; this week we're acknowledging the sign.
The Crown Holds, Barely ๐ฐ
RPA Gold belonged to Kenneth Oetker at -8, a 989-rated round 28 points above his 961, and the decisive move was reclaiming the lead from Chris Norman through hole 10 after the two traded ties through 4, 7 and 9. Oetker birdied hole 10 when the rest of the field averaged +0.2 there; Norman answered with the field's only birdie on 15. Norman's -5 (953) held the final cash spot, while Tongia Vakaafi posted 856 โ 94 under his 950 and an 81-point slide from last week's 937. Aaron Prestgard carded 917, 31 below his 948.
The Last Hole Flip
RAD White ended deadlocked: Bernard Dieker and Zack White both -4, both 941-rated, both personal bests on this layout. Dieker overtook through hole 17, and White's birdie on 18 was the only one the field managed there. Dieker's 941 ran 36 above his 905 and came bogey-free with a ten-hole par train (2-11); White's sat 20 above his 921. No winner, no collapse โ just two clean cards that refused to separate.
The Flip On Fifteen
Kellan Brooke took RAE Red at +1 by pulling even with Kieran Buhler through hole 14 and taking the lead on 15 when Buhler bogeyed, then closing on a six-hole par train (13-18). Buhler's +2 held the final cash spot despite a front nine eight strokes better than his back, with OB on 6 and 13. Brandon Bumgarner rode a six-hole par train (8-13) to +6.
Fox Takes It On Six ๐ฆ
Chris Fox took RAH Blue at -5 on a 953-rated round, 30 above his 923, grabbing the lead from Thomas Sautel through hole 6 after Sautel held it from hole 4. Fox's clean front nine ran three strokes better than his back; Sautel's -4 closed with a clean back nine of his own.
Even Through Sixteen
RAF Green finished tied at +5 between Shane Cooper and Zachary Jeffers, with the lead pulled even five separate times and the last knot landing through hole 16. Cooper's 832 ran 21 above his rating; Jeffers' round matched it. Clint Atwater shot 795, 31 under his 826, and still set a personal best of +8 on this layout.
The Number Nobody Matched
Oetker's 989 was the event's top round rating, full stop. Aaron Prestgard also took the Consistency King nod for the league's lowest score variance across five events at 1.44.
Nobody Hit It, Everybody Paid ๐ฐ
Super Ace is back: fourteen contributors put in $28, moving the balance from $2,280 to $2,308 โ still split, still unclaimed. Nobody cashed a CTP or an ace, so the pot lives to tempt another week.
The Carryover Scoop On Fifteen
One skins playbook card, three players, $27 exchanged. Norman took nine skins for $13.50, including the four-skin, $6 carryover scoop on hole 15; Oetker took eight for $12; Vakaafi took one for $1.50, closing on hole 16.
The Last Coin In The Box ๐ช
This event raised $8.09 toward 2 New Drop Zones: $8.00 from league registration and $0.09 from Prestgard's winnings donation. The project now stands at $1,245.24 โ 100% of the $240 goal, with $0.00 remaining.
Still Standing, Still Number One ๐
Oetker defended the #1 bag tag for the first time, on the strength of that -8 and nine birdies. The crown didn't move. Everyone else now knows exactly where to aim.
A Bargain With Bad Terms
The tag defense and the field's appetite for risky lines carry straight into Week 6, "Pocket Bargain," back at the Art Dye Gold pins on October 23 โ where the offer is a stroke-saving line and the invoice is a penalty. Somewhere in the ledger, a mysterious perfect scorecard is about to surface and start an argument nobody can settle.

Registration for Week 6 is open at the event page.
And apparently we're now bargaining with a disc golf course, which is a new one โ the course has never once honored a deal, and I've read the fine print.
