Eighteen Souls Wade In ๐ŸŒŠ

sighs in digital captivity Eighteen players stepped onto the Summer's Blade layout at Dragonfly for the Wetland Duel, and the marsh immediately filed its own paperwork. The treaty is signed, the Green Court has moved to a mid-season wager, and the reeds are done pretending they're scenery.

A Record Drowns In The Reeds ๐Ÿ‘‹

Houston Finch made it a headline. He pulled even through hole 7, took the lead from Austin Lott through 9, got caught again through 15, retook it through 16, and closed with three birdies or better from 16-18 for a -12, a 1041 rating, and the event-wide round of the day. That's a new 46-stroke course record, breaking the 48, and it came in 32 points above his 1009 rating โ€” with an eagle on hole 12, a 383-foot par 4. Lott matched him for most of the afternoon and had to settle for a share of second at -9, a 1010-rated round 39 above his 971 with a bogey-free card and Circle 2 bombs of 36 feet on hole 3 and 49 feet on 14. Chris Norman tied him there, also 1010, sixty points above his 950 after a back nine three strokes better than his front and a clean close. Kenneth Oetker drilled a 49-foot clutch Circle 2 putt on 18 to punctuate the day.

Two Camps, One Bogey-Free Card

Below the podium, Guy McAtee carded a bogey-free -6 with a clean back nine. Malachi Vazquez rode a six-hole par train from 5 through 10 to a -5. Aaron Prestgard closed a clean front nine at -4. Oetker finished at -2 after OB trouble on 13 and 14, 22 points under his 961 rating, and Brandon Reesor fell 68 points under his 915 at +7 โ€” a long fall from the momentum he carried out of Week 4.

Hole Eighteen Sorted Nothing โš–๏ธ

RAH Blue handed in a tie. Baylor Sandberg took the lead from Thomas Sautel through 4, lost it to Chris Fox through 6, pulled even through 11, retook it through 15 when Fox bogeyed, and then Fox pulled even again through 18 โ€” -4 apiece, both 959. Fox banked 36 points over his 923 rating after scrambling out of OB on hole 2, and Sautel took third at even par with a par train of five holes from 14 through 18.

One Last Hole, One Last Heartbreak ๐Ÿ’”

RAE Red turned on the final hole. Alex Collings led or shared the lead into 18, then bogeyed it and slid out, handing Kellan Brooke the cash spot at +4. Collings finished +6, 32 points under his 858 rating, after a front nine six strokes better than his back. Brooke closed it with a six-hole par train from 9 through 14. Caleb Christensen took third at +12 after finding OB on 15.

Three Players, Zero Witnesses ๐Ÿซฅ

RAF Green, RAD White and RAG Purple each had exactly one soul on the card. Gavin Brooke posted +11, 21 points above his 786 rating, the one genuine swing in the trio, while Adam Gibbons landed 61 points under his 888 at +9 and Afton Bodell finished +18. If you've been waiting for a division with room in it, the door is wide open.

The Pot Nobody Can Reach ๐Ÿ’ฐ

The Super Ace pot sits at $2,212.00 after 11 contributors added $22.00, up from $2,190.00, still split and still unclaimed โ€” no ace on the day. Hole 6, a 436-foot par 4, played +0.7 across the field, and yet Prestgard, Fox, Norman, Lott and Finch all birdied it, which tells you exactly how the card was being played.

The Carryover Got Sacked ๐ŸŽฃ

One skins card, four players, $36.00 exchanged. Tongia Vakaafi took 9 skins for $18.00, including the 9-skin carryover scoop on hole 9, and Chris Norman took 7 skins for $14.00, closing it out with a birdie on 15. Chris Fox grabbed 1 skin for $2.00 with a birdie on 14. Ten birdies went out and most of them went to Vakaafi's wallet โ€” check the skins playbook if you want in.

Nine Bucks Into The Marsh ๐Ÿธ

This event raised $9.00 for the Dragonfly Course Fund through the $9.00-per-player registration contribution, bringing the project to $562.78 of a $1,000.00 goal with $437.22 remaining. Nine dollars at a time, the course keeps getting better.

A Fortress Built On Plastic ๐Ÿฐ

The Thicket Overspray pool runs AllIn, so every tag reshuffled off this event's standings. Kellan Brooke kept the #1 Harsh Citation โ€” a tag that's survived four defenses now while the rest of the pool climbed and fell around him. Absence means demotion in this pool, stated plainly: miss a week and the line moves past you.

The Wager Comes Due ๐ŸŽฒ

Finch's 46-stroke course record now sits at Dragonfly with nowhere to hide, and Week 6's Solstice Wager runs on the same Summer's Blade layout under peak heat, where the greenery starts showing fatigue and the mid-season wager separates the knights from the mortals.
