Its presence carries the weight of supernatural judgment, a reminder that the culling approaches for those who fail to read its signs.

The Phantom Presage serves as the Deadlands' early warning system - appearing to competitors before the culling claims them to deliver one final opportunity to prove worthiness. It exists to ensure that only those who truly deserve remembrance survive, acting as the frontier's own conscience in delivering judgment before it becomes final.
