I Am the Poison Now
Can't Stop Teaching Toxic Lessons
Aspects refreshed Jul 31, 2026
The Venom Scripture was carved into the walls of the original culling ground by survivors who learned that the Deadlands' deadliest threats - the green fog, the brine storms, the black creek - all carry poison that can be understood and weaponized. Each generation of competitors added their lessons to the sacred walls until the knowledge became the Scripture itself, a living document of toxic transformation.
The Scripture appears as a weathered leather-bound tome with pages that smell of sage and copper. The text written within shifts and changes based on current threats facing the bearer, always showing the most relevant toxic knowledge. When dangerous poison approaches - whether green fog or corrupted water - the Scripture glows faintly with a sickly green-gold light, granting the bearer premonition of approaching toxicity.
The Venom Scripture transforms the bearer's relationship with the Deadlands' toxic environment. Rather than merely surviving poison, the bearer learns to weaponize it - turning the frontier's own venom against those who would see them culled. It represents the ultimate truth of the Deadlands: what doesn't kill you teaches you to become the poison yourself.
