Headcleaner Ritual
Purification Judge in Spinning Cassette Shell
Reveals Degradation Too Honestly
Aspects refreshed Feb 14, 2026
Born from the catastrophic playback failure during League 4's championship when months of accumulated tape residue made every recorded throw appear as snow, the Headcleaner Ritual became the Chaintrix's most humbling ceremony - proof that greatness means nothing if the machine can't read it. The system elevated headcleaning from mundane maintenance to sacred law, ensuring no player's legacy would be lost to oxide buildup again.
Manifests as an oversized VHS cleaning cassette suspended in perpetual rotation, its pristine white felt strips collecting visible brown oxide stains as they pass through each simulation. The cassette emits the distinctive high-pitched whine of spinning cleaning heads, audible across all 16 movie leagues simultaneously during purification ceremonies. It generates visible static discharge around players being cleansed, with intensity proportional to their performance degradation, and leaves temporary tracking line scars on those who resist - horizontal distortion visible across their next three recorded performances.
Acts as both purification ceremony and diagnostic test, revealing which players' commitment has degraded to the point where even cleaning can't restore watchable playback. The Ritual enforces periodic maintenance windows where players must submit to performance cleansing, stripping away accumulated failure residue to determine who maintains pristine magnetic surfaces and who has corroded beyond recovery.
