Macrovision Mandate
Only Real Survivors Leave Magnetic Signatures
Pulsing Interference Bars the Way
Aspects refreshed Feb 14, 2026
When early Chaintrix participants discovered they could claim victories without attending by exploiting simulation loopholes, the system implemented Macrovision Mandate - an anti-counterfeit protocol borrowed from VHS copy protection that ensures only players who physically show up create valid magnetic signatures. The first player to attempt a no-show duplicate found their entire simulation history distorted with pulsing interference bars, their legacy rendered unwatchable.
Manifests as rhythmic interference pulses embedded in the magnetic substrate of every valid recording - rapid AGC spikes that cause unauthorized duplicates to display unwatchable brightness fluctuations and color distortions. Authentic attendance creates clean playback; attempted duplication produces the characteristic Macrovision artifacts: pulsing dark bars, unstable brightness, and color that bleeds beyond its boundaries. The entity exists as both the encoding process and the resulting protection pattern, simultaneously invisible in legitimate recordings and blindingly obvious in counterfeit attempts.
Functions as the anti-counterfeit authority that validates every player's magnetic signature across all 16 simulations, ensuring that the only survival that counts is the kind that requires physical presence.
