Born from the first disc that ever flew through a neon grid, the Neon Covenant crystallized when the Chaintrix realized that voluntary participation meant nothing without binding consequence. It emerged as the system's answer to chaos - a self-enforcing agreement written in light itself, signed by every player the moment they register for their first simulation.
The Neon Covenant manifests as living neon tubing that shifts through pink-purple-blue gradients, reconfiguring itself into symbols from whichever simulation is active - a disc for Trainspotting, chains for Fight Club, amber for Jurassic Park. It hums with VHS tracking line distortion when a commitment is tested, and leaves phosphorescent trails in the air like light painting, marking the path between promise and performance. The intensity of its glow corresponds directly to the holder's attendance streak - brilliant for the consistent, flickering for the unreliable.
It acts as the Chaintrix's primary interface with human commitment, translating abstract promises into binding obligations that span all movie simulations simultaneously.
