Origin Story

Born from Luxon Quell's first rending of the Arcane Fracture, the Volatile Harbinger manifested as crystallized instability that gained sentience. It now drifts between realms, drawn to magical turbulence which it consumes to grow stronger. Surge Bind adepts deliberately provoke its appearances to harness its predictive surges.

Properties

The Harbinger exists as a semi-corporeal vortex of jagged lightning fragments. Its form constantly destabilizes, shedding fractal shards that predict future surge points. Contact induces temporary precognition of magical turbulence. The entity amplifies nearby unstable energies while weakening structured glyphs through resonant dissonance.

Role

It travels ahead of major magical disturbances, creating localized instability that weakens reality barriers. Surge Bind players track its manifestations to anticipate and amplify incoming surges, transforming volatile zones into tactical advantages.
