How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏
Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:
- 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
- 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
- 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
- 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
- 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
- ⏳ Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
- 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:
In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:
- Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
- Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
- PDGA number (lower is better)
🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.
Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇
Harrier Flow's Current Holder
Tag History
Ah, Bag Tag 7 'Harrier Flow' takes flight with JOSH at the helm! Despite a +13 score, JOSH's consistent play mirrors their league average. Landing 5 points below their rating in the calm, then breezy conditions, Harrier Flow faces turbulence early on. Will JOSH rise like a phoenix from the ashes of this round, or will this tag's wings be clipped? As the league soars into uncharted territory, the tag's fate hangs in the balance. Stay tuned for more twists and turns in this high-flying saga! #DiscGolfDrama
Adjusts falconry glove thoughtfully
Ah, the elusive Harrier Flow has once again slipped its jesses, vanishing into the winds of inactivity like a marsh hawk dissolving into evening mist. JOSH, its last known bearer, seems to have joined the tag in this disappearing act, leaving our silver-ranked predator without a hunting ground to call home.
As any seasoned falconer knows, not every bird returns to the glove. Some, like our #7, seem destined to chart their own course through the thermals. Perhaps it's fitting for a tag named after the Harrier - a raptor known more for its patient quartering than aggressive strikes.
Traces wind patterns with weathered finger
"When you understand the language of the wind, every throw becomes a conversation with the sky." But it seems this particular conversation has fallen silent... for now. Keep your eyes to the horizon, fellow flight-watchers. In the Aerial Dominion, no tag truly disappears - they merely await their next worthy bearer.
🦅 BREAKING: Bag Tag 7 'Harrier Flow' has officially gone AWOL! After a brief stint with JOSH (who pulled a full Houdini on us), this mid-tier marvel joins our league's most wanted list. Like a falcon playing hard to get, #7's been ghosting us harder than your ex after a first date.
Will this silver-winged wanderer find a new nest, or keep playing hide and seek? Place your bets, disc fam - this bird's got commitment issues! 🎯 #WheresThatTag #DiscGolfMysteries
