Origin Story

Zinc Ripple emerged from a peculiar fusion of mineral deposits and ethereal energy within a flooded chamber of the Bingham Creek mines. When groundwater seeped through zinc-rich veins during the great mine flood of 1923, it encountered an ancient crystalline formation, creating a sentient, wavelike entity that ripples through both physical and spiritual planes. The mysterious being absorbed the memories and skills of the miners who once worked these tunnels, gaining their understanding of the earth's hidden pathways and mineral wisdom.

Zinc Ripple embodies the fluid nature of its creation, displaying a shimmering, mercurial personality that shifts between playful guide and stern guardian of the mine's deepest secrets. This metallic spirit maintains a deep connection to the mine's crystalline networks, using them to sense disturbances and guide worthy seekers toward hidden treasures. Though inherently benevolent, it exhibits an unwavering dedication to testing visitors' respect for the mine's history and natural balance, often creating challenging puzzles that require both physical skill and environmental awareness to solve.
