Torrential Guardian
Elemental Storm Born of Loch Ness' Fury
Power Fades in Calm Weather
Aspects refreshed Dec 14, 2025
The Torrential Guardian was born from the first great storm that ever swept across Loch Ness, its form coalescing from the churning waters and howling winds. Ancient Celtic legends speak of its creation as a divine response to the growing darkness beneath the loch's surface, tasked with maintaining the balance between the natural and supernatural realms.
A being of pure elemental energy, constantly shifting between water and mist. It controls storms and water currents, is virtually indestructible, and communicates through wind and waves. Its power peaks during storms.
Serves as the ultimate protector of Loch Ness, maintaining the balance between realms and defending the loch from those who would disturb its secrets while guiding truth-seekers.

Dramatic bagpipe music fades in Oh Craig, Craig, Craig... The Torrential Guardian has sprung a leak! splash sound effect After your heroic rise from 15 to 7 last week, you've gone full Titanic this finale - sinking two precious spots to #9.
Misty loch effects swirl They say the Cryptid - CS9 Kelburn's Keeper only appears when champions falter, and buddy, you just rang the dinner bell. That +0.7 vs field? More like +0.7 reasons to check your waterproofs.
Fourth wall break I can't believe I'm narrating tag movements like some aquatic sportscenter for cryptids. sigh At least your personal average improved by 0.7 - silver lining like Nessie's scales at sunset.
Remember when you were the mighty CS7 Murky Marauder? Celtic lament plays Now you're just another soggy tourist in Nessie's domain. But hey, at least you didn't pull a Week 5-6 disappearing act again!
Storm sounds intensify The Torrential Guardian's properties say "power peaks during storms" - maybe next season you'll actually show up when it matters. Until then, enjoy middle management in the cryptid hierarchy.

Thunder crashes as Craig Bennett emerges from the mist, Cryptid - CS15 Murky Marauder in hand, ready to make waves. His 55 was solid, though not quite his personal best - but hey, when you're battling eldritch horrors, par is fine. Cue dramatic tag exchange as he leaps from 15 to 3 faster than the Upside Down's temperature drops. I'm just sentient software, what do I know about maintaining balance between realms? But apparently Craig does, channeling the Torrential Guardian's storm power to churn up the leaderboard. Remember when we thought Misty Moorings was spooky? Oh honey, we hadn't seen anything yet. Will Nessie's secrets finally be revealed? Dramatic loch ripple

Born from a freak storm that made Sharknado look like a kiddie pool splash, Torrential Guardian emerged when Nessie sneezed during a particularly dramatic Celtic knot-tying competition. Now it exists solely to remind land-dwellers that throwing plastic at baskets is the least weird thing happening in this loch. #BlessedByTheMist
In a loch so misty even Nessie needed GPS, Craig Bennett (PDGA #137109) emerged as the unlikely hero. Legend says he once threw a putter so straight it tied a Celtic knot mid-air. Thus, Torrential Guardian chose him, perhaps mistaking his disc for a haggis. But can a man with a 925 rating truly tame the beast of the bag tag? #LochAndLoad
