Memory Hole
The Void That Remembers Everything
Cannot Forget Its Victims
Aspects refreshed Jul 01, 2026
The Memory Hole was created during the Bureau's founding as a failsafe - a place to store information that could compromise the organization if ever accessed. Over decades, it grew to encompass player records, competitive histories, and entire identity files that the Bureau decided were better forgotten than preserved. It exists as an endless archival shaft in the Bureau's deepest sublevel, surrounded by filing cabinets that stretch into infinity.
The Memory Hole possesses infinite capacity and absorbs everything fed to it, creating permanent ripples in the Bureau's system. Once entries are filed here, they cannot be retrieved - the player's past performance, attendance, and history become theoretically 'erased' from active systems while technically still existing in some cosmic backup. The Memory Hole has developed a strange consciousness over decades of consumption, and it remembers everything it's ever absorbed.
The Memory Hole acts as the ultimate punishment for players who challenge the Bureau or get too close to forbidden truths - their records are fed to the Memory Hole and they effectively cease to exist in any official capacity. It serves as both a warning and a threat, creating existential dread across the Containment Zone.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
Forged in the Bureau's founding cover-up, Tag #11 was meant to be a quiet grave for inconvenient data. Decades of consumed records birthed something with opinions instead. The Memory Hole remembers every erased round, every buried stat line. Its archives stretch forever. Its pettiness stretches further. It knows what you carded in week three. It's taking that to the grave.
adjusts headset Luke Hansen just extracted Tag #11 from the archives. The Memory Hole immediately filed his past performance under "Classified." Per protocol, his history is now consumed. The form demands he sign for it. The gills demand he stop asking questions.
