Season Premiere

Lost Hours - Tetons

Agents experience temporal displacement at Tetons, where the night itself goes missing. This is a bureaucratic nightmare of unaccounted time; players compete to anchor themselves in reality before the Audit redacts them as statistical anomalies.

The Story Begins

Lost Hours represents the ultimate security breach in the Disclosure series: unaccounted time. The 'abduction' narrative is a metaphor for the bureaucracy losing track of its agents, turning the fight for clearance into a battle for one's own timeline.

Agents arrive at Tetons for a standard operation, but the first tee box takes three hours to play and nobody remembers why.

The idea began with **local resident Bob Bumgarner**, who envisioned a short neighborhood course during walks through the park. He collaborated with **Scott Belchak of ElevateUT Disc Golf**, who helped pitch the design to the **City of West Jordan Parks Department**. With support from **Mayor Dirk Burton** and the parks team, the project was approved and built within months. Funding and installation were community-driven, with Bob donating time and materials, and ElevateUT assisting in layout and professional design. The course was conceived as a **beginner-friendly 9-hole layout**—a way to introduce new players to disc golf while still offering engaging technical play for experienced locals. Upon completion, it became the **first disc golf course in West Jordan** city limits, drawing hundreds of players within weeks of opening. --- ### Course Experience Tetons DGC plays through a well-maintained **grassy neighborhood park** with gentle slopes, scattered trees, and panoramic views of the **Oquirrh Mountains**. Though compact, the layout creatively uses **elevation, mandatories, and island greens** to create a full and satisfying 9-hole round. - **Layout & Flow:** Each hole ranges from **150–300 ft**, perfect for putters and midranges. The early holes are open, while holes 7–9 feature more trees and hillside baskets. The course loops naturally through the park, beginning and ending near the playground. - **Signature Features:** - **Hole 8:** A **triple-mandatory** gate forces a precise shot through a narrow tree gap. - **Hole 5:** An **island green** adds a fun, high-stakes putting challenge. - **Elevated baskets** and sloped greens create risk/reward situations, where missed putts can roll away. - **Play Style & Difficulty:** The course is short but technical, offering a mix of open drives and strategic putting greens. It’s ideal for: - **Beginners** – forgiving distances and wide fairways. - **Intermediate players** – precision and touch shots rewarded. - **Advanced players** – great warm-up or short-game practice course. Wind is occasionally a factor on the open park holes, but overall the course is calm and family-friendly. Most locals play multiple loops for an 18-hole experience. --- ### Amenities & Features - **Tee Pads:** 9 brushed **concrete pads**, spacious and level. - **Baskets:** 9 permanent **MVP Portal v2** baskets (professional-grade). - **Signage:** Full-color **tee signs** with hole maps, par, and OB indicators. Wayfinding signs guide players between holes. - **Seating:** Park benches placed near several tees. - **Navigation:** Easy to follow; only the transition from holes 6→7 can be slightly confusing for first-timers. - **Restrooms:** None on-site (nearest restrooms located a few blocks away at neighborhood parks). - **Water:** Seasonal drinking fountain near the playground. - **Parking:** Free **street parking** along Targhee Dr. (adjacent to Hole 1). - **Accessibility:** - **Cart-friendly:** Grass and paved paths throughout. - **Dog-friendly:** Dogs allowed on leash. - Gentle hills; mostly accessible for most players. - **Environment:** Clean, safe, and family-oriented. The park is shared with walkers and children, but disc golf zones are well-spaced to avoid interference. --- ### Player Feedback **Highlights:** - “Beautiful neighborhood course—perfect for learning or quick rounds.” - “Excellent use of space; surprisingly challenging for its length.” - “Well-built concrete tees and premium baskets—feels professional.” **Critiques:** - Only 9 holes (many wish for 18). - No restrooms or dedicated parking lot. - Can get crowded during weekends due to its popularity. --- ### Official References - [PDGA Course Directory – Tetons 9-hole](https://www.pdga.com/course-directory/course/tetons-9-hole) - [UDisc – Tetons DGC](https://udisc.com/courses/tetons-dgc-A6fg) - [DGCourseReview – Tetons DGC](https://www.dgcoursereview.com/courses/tetons-dgc.14069) - [City of West Jordan News – “New Disc Golf Course Opens in West Jordan” (July 2023)](https://www.westjordan.utah.gov/newsroom/2023/07/new-disc-golf-course-opens-in-west-jordan/) - [ElevateUT Disc Golf – Tetons Course Overview](https://www.elevateut.com/post/introducing-the-wash-a-beginner-friendly-disc-golf-course-in-west-jordan-utah) - [Disc Golf Scene – Teton Estates Park](https://www.discgolfscene.com/courses/teton-estates-park-11006)
