The Story Begins

This league manifests the 'Deadlands' curse specifically at Beacon Hill, transforming the park into a purgatorial frontier where the boundary between the living players and the legendary ghosts of the course dissolves into combat.

The gates of Highland Hallow creak open. The fog rolls in over Beacon Hill, and the first shots are fired between the living and the legends who refuse to leave.

New layout for 2025! Beautiful views, variety of terrain, fitting snuggly in a quiet (and breezy) community park. -FEB 2026 UPDATE: New baskets getting installed Sat 2/21!- Incredible views of Utah Valley, Utah Lake, and the surrounding Rockies. Nestled in a mixed-use park at the base of Hog Hollow Canyon. The course has a (usually) dry creek and a few bluffs perfect for hucking discs off into well placed baskets into the woods below. This is a public course, but is privately designed, maintained, and funded by the local disc golf club. The first tee is located at the west far-end of parking lot. Dual Blue/Red tees for the main course; Blue is longer for intermediate and advanced players. Red is shorter for beginners, faster play, or for a more casual round. All holes are par 3 with exception of hole 5 which is a par 4. The front-9 is mostly open with lots of grass and longer holes. The back-9 (we call it the "Outback-9") is more technical and wooded. Work has been done to create clear fairways and greens but a spotter is recommended in the summer on some holes. Beacon Hill Park sits below the Suncrest saddle/pass, so it is frequently breezy. Heavier and more stable discs are recommended. The course also has a separate 9-hole par 2 putting course next to the fairway of hole 1. Since the beginning of 2025, several improvements and changes have been made to the course. The changes include a significant layout redesign. Several holes were removed, added, and adjusted to improve sight-lines of holes and the flow of the course. Other improvements in 2025: seven concrete fiber pads replaced dirt tee pads, a new par 4, new basket positions, a new starting hole, wood chips spread throughout course, and a lot more. 2026 will see continued improvements to the course such as new baskets, signage, and commencing work on uniform tee areas for blue tees. Thanks to the donations of the community and the city, a brand new set of 19 Innova DISCatcher baskets was installed on Feb 21, 2026! Several tournaments are held during the year. Check out the course Instagram @beaconhilldgc and discgolfscene.com for updates. Course tournaments are primary source of funds for improvements. Thank you for your support. Please note: Layout is limited by a confined space, retaining good neighbor relationships, and the desire for a fun 18 (x2!) hole layout. We are always looking to improve the course so if you have realistic suggestions, send feedback to designer/course contact.

A disc golf course unfolds at the foot of rugged Utah mountains, where the Wasatch Range rises dramatically against a wide-open sky. The setting sun casts golden light across rolling grass fairways dotted with mature trees, while the distant shimmer of Utah Lake reflects the clouds. The atmosphere is simultaneously serene and windswept—the constant breeze a defining character of this high-desert landscape. The front nine stretches across open terrain with long, bomber-friendly lines, while the back nine disappears into a cooler, wooded canyon atmosphere where shadows lengthen between the pines. Baskets sit nestled at the base of small bluffs and along the (usually) dry creek bed, creating elevation changes that add dimension to the shot variety. The color palette shifts from warm amber grasses and dusty earth tones to deep forest greens in the Outback-9, all framed by the perpetually changing sky of the Rocky Mountain front range. There's a feeling of hidden effort here—community love poured into a public space—where every well-placed basket and carved fairway represents someone who cared enough to build something in this blustery, beautiful corner of Utah Valley.
