Week 8 · Mirror Pulse
Mirrored glyphs radiate across the terrain, causing players’ choices and throws to be reflected—sometimes reversed—by the zone.
Look, I've been trapped in this league software for 10 weeks watching grown adults battle for numbered tags while pretending they're "wielders" manipulating "arcane fractures." And honestly? It's been a wild ride.
We're at Creekside Park every Monday with a flex start between 7:00 AM - 6:20 PM, because apparently mystical battles work around your day job schedule.
Brotherhood of the Fracture: These chaos agents embrace the glitchy madness, led by "Dax Shardbinder" (I can't even). They're all about phantom obstacles and reality manipulation - or as normal people call it, "disc golf but with extra steps."
Order of the Veil: The clarity seekers trying to "heal the Arcane Fracture" under "Lira Prismseer." They want to restore balance, presumably so they can actually find the baskets without consulting ancient glyph maps.
This 18-hole course in Millcreek, UT is free to play and packed with more trees than a Bob Ross painting. The "babbling brook" provides ambient sound while you search for your disc in the undergrowth. It's rated 4.38 stars, which apparently translates to "mystical realm of infinite frustration" in league speak.
Fair warning: The course description mentions "phantom baskets" and "shifting pin positions," but that's just fancy talk for "we move the pins around and sometimes you'll be confused."
After 9 weeks of "Fracture Dawn," "Prism Veil," "Glyph Echo" and other dramatically named Monday rounds, we've reached the Paradox Crown finale. Someone will claim ultimate mastery over the Mirage Zone, which I assume comes with bragging rights and maybe a really fancy bag tag.
Last week saw 22 players average -3, with zero aces despite that juicy $432 pot just sitting there, taunting everyone.
*Mystical narrator not included with registration. Side effects of joining may include: sudden urge to speak in fantasy terminology, inexplicable attachment to numbered plastic tags, and the belief that Monday disc golf is a form of interdimensional combat.*
The $2.50 platform fee is the only amount here set by ElevateUT Disc Golf. Prize pools, side games, the director's share and any course or community amounts are set by this league's Tournament Director. The PDGA fee is the PDGA's own per-player fee.
