Mehraban Dust, Population: Four
adjusts headset Four players signed in for Week 3, and the wetland answered with a dry spell โ the Phragmites corridors coughed up dust instead of mosquitoes, and the Black Court's stubborn-undead season rolled into the Mehraban Dust chapter with the ace pot, the tags, and the standings all live. The reeds got trampled, the tunnel lines got threaded, and one division actually had a fight in it.
Wire To Wire, No Detours
Peter Haws never gave up the lead in RAE Red. A clean front nine, solo birdies on holes 7, 10, and 17 that nobody else in the division matched, and a -5 that landed him the cash line at 910 โ 47 points above his 863 rating, which is the kind of number that makes the Accords' paperwork sit up straight. David LaTour carded +3 and a 792-rated round, 43 below his own 835, though he did answer with solo birdies on holes 9 and 15 before the dust got the better of the rest of his card.
Rating Swings In An Empty Room ๐
Two divisions ran with exactly one entry each: Nick Jennings posted -5 at 910 in RPA Gold โ a clean front nine, Circle 2 putts from 39 feet on holes 11 and 13, and the field's only birdie on hole 11 โ while Shane Cooper went -1 at 851 in RAF Green, 50 points above his 801 rating, buoyed by the only birdie on hole 5 and a six-hole par train from 13 through 18. Neither had anybody to beat, so consider this an open invitation: those cards have room, and that's the only thing standing between them and a real showdown.
Two Cards, One Ceiling
The field of four topped out at 910, split between Jennings and Haws โ the only shared ceiling the day produced.
Nobody Aced, Everybody Contributed
The Super Ace pot climbed from $1,918.00 to $1,926.00 on four contributors at $8.00 apiece, and the seasonal ace pot now sits at $173.41 with zero aces on the season and no shares issued yet โ it pays equal shares per ace on the final event, so every near-miss this fall is somebody's future payday.
A Quarter At A Time
This event raised $2.25 for the Mehraban (Baby Bottoms) Course Fund: a $2.00 league registration contribution plus Peter Haws donating $0.25 of his winnings. That brings the fund to $4.75 of its $1,000.00 goal, with $995.25 still to go. Four players, two dollars and a quarter, one wetland that keeps winning.
The Veil Holds, The Ledger Rotates
Pool A's #1 Salt Veil stays with Nick Jennings โ the boundary curtain of suspended salt crystals that thins as ratings slide, and his 910-rated 47 kept it shimmering on a three-place climb from #4 to #1. Pool B's #1 Ink Avalanche sits with Peter Haws. Both pools run AllIn, meaning every tag reshuffled this week and every absence means demotion โ three tags changed hands, and the Veil's only loyalty is to whoever shoots low enough to hold it.
Drive The Stake, Or Be The Stake
The Black Court's season doesn't get a bye week: Week 4 brings Old Dead Stir back to the same Baby Bottoms layout, where the dormant spirits of the wetland wake up and a pivotal round forces players to drive the Stake And Reed deep into the soft earth. Same marsh, same Phragmites, new nightmares.

Because nothing says Friday disc golf like waking the dead so you can throw a putter at a basket in a bog.
