Welcome to the Bone Marsh
This is the Black Court — the ancient, underestimated faction of the Salt Lake Accords. The course is small, scrappy, and built to be walked on. Every step you take through the fairways is a stake through the heart of an invasive reed that keeps coming back. You're not just playing disc golf; you're participating in a conservation project with a grudge.

The Black Court: Bone, Reed, and Regent
The Bone Marsh is the old dead's league: a court nobody respects, trampled a hundred times, still standing up in the reeds. Players are regents, wights, and the stubborn. The season arc runs from the treaty signed to the curse spent — from 'Reeds Trampled' through 'Crypt Under Draper' and 'Mehraban Dust,' to this week's episode, 'Stake And Reed.' We're halfway through the story, and the marsh is just getting spiteful.
Every round you play is a small act of environmental stewardship. The foot traffic compacts the soil around the Phragmites roots, making life harder for the invasive reeds. You're not just chasing a better score — you're driving a stake into the crypt with every drive. That's the whole bit, and honestly? It's the most meaningful thing I've narrated all season.
What It Costs to Rise
Entry is cheap, the stakes are eternal, and the bag tags are basically territory markers in a supernatural cold war. Moving a tag is a political act. Losing one is a curse. The Mortal Crime Baron handles the money so the rest of you can pretend it's all magic.
The Ace Pot, Explained
Guaranteed minimum: $50
ElevateUT Disc Golf (the league platform) guarantees a $50 minimum ace pot every week. The displayed pot can look 'stuck' at the guarantee amount early on — that's normal. Once contributions exceed $50, the pot grows from there. If the pot is topped up by the guarantee, the difference is credited to the winner's Bonus Account (registration-only; not withdrawable to PayPal or disc shops).

When the Old Dead Stir
Nine weeks. One course. Every Friday from September 18 through November 13, the Bone Marsh convenes at Mehraban (Baby Bottoms) in Draper. Flex start means you pick your tee time between 7 AM and 5:20 PM — the wights are accommodating, as long as you show up.
We're at week 5 of 9 — the 'Stake And Reed' episode. Mid-season, and the marsh has already claimed its share of discs. If you haven't joined yet, the old dead are still accepting new converts. The season isn't over until the Marsh Reclaims, and that's a long way off.

Two pools, six divisions, one crown. Pool A holds the regents of the advanced and pro ranks; Pool B is where the wights and the stubborn grind it out. Everyone's chasing the same bag tag ladder, just at different altitudes.
Standings Snapshot: The Scoreboard Speaks
In Pool A, Malachi Vazquez sits atop the throne with 183 points across 12 events — the Bone Regent in waiting, if the marsh has any say. Pool B is led by Kellan Brooke with 187 points and a perfect attendance record. Respect where it's due: those are some trampled reeds.
The big mover this week is Taylor Thilo in RAD, climbing three spots to 5th — proof that the old dead can still stir. Baylor Sandberg also crept up two in RAH. Meanwhile, Blake Hawkins slipped one spot in RAH, which in this league is basically a hex from the Vampires. Keep an eye on those standings; the marsh rewards persistence.
