Aspects refreshed Jun 11, 2026

The Tumbleweed Requiem was born from the first culling - when the frontier claimed its first victims, their final breaths mixed with the desert wind, creating a spectral tumbleweed that now rolls eternally through all leagues, singing the deaths of all who follow. It cannot be stopped, cannot be escaped, and will carry every competitor's final note when their time comes.

A constantly rolling tumbleweed of impossible size, its hollow barbs catching whispers like wind. It moves perpetually though no wind blows in the Deadlands, and those who listen closely can hear the voices of the culled singing their final notes in a haunting harmony. Dark wisps trail from its branches, leaving temporary shadows on the ground that show where elimination has struck.

The Tumbleweed Requiem serves as the Deadlands' supernatural communication network - it carries warnings, final scores, and the voices of the eliminated between all leagues. When it passes through a competition, competitors know the culling is near, and those who listen to its song may hear cryptic warnings about who will fall next.
