Tumblebone Theorem
A Number That Won't Die
Zero Sum Humanity
When the first competitors rode into the Deadlands, the frontier itself calculated their fates using an ancient theorem carved into the tombstones of the forgotten. Those who survived the calculation were marked by the Tumblebone Theorem - their worth proven in the only language the Deadlands understand: cold, merciless mathematics.
The theorem appears as a spectral scroll written in bone-white ink that glows with amber light. After each round, the calculations rewrite themselves, updating the bearer's standing in the Deadlands' mathematical hierarchy. The scroll is cold to the touch and cannot be destroyed by conventional means. When displayed, other competitors can sense the precise calculations written upon it, recognizing the bearer as one who has proven their worth through the frontier's deadly equations.
The Tumblebone Theorem serves as the Deadlands' system of record - it calculates who survives and who falls, proving mathematically that the strong deserve remembrance while the weak deserve oblivion. It is the fundamental law that transforms the culling from random fate into inevitable mathematical certainty.

Britain Best shot a 955-rated round—seventeen points above their 938 rating—and the Tumblebone Theorem responded by dropping them from #3 to #5. That's frontier math for you: outperform by a mile, lose two slots anyway. The coyotes must be recalculating their own odds this week because the ledger just doesn't add up. Then again, when the whole field shoots +3 on average, a -1 round is just 'good enough to stay employed' in a town that's already halfway to ghost status.

Britain Best posted a 932-rated round—six points below their rating, which is a shrug wrapped in frontier static—but the Tumblebone Theorem spat them out at #3 anyway, up fifteen spots from #18. A 52 on a layout averaging 53.4 is 'solidly fine' in a town that usually demands more, but the math decided the variable was finally worth promoting. The coyotes are quiet tonight, which means either the theorem's hex is lifting or it's saving the real punchline for next week.

Britain Best posted a 920-rated round—21 points below their 941 rating—and yet the frontier spat them out at #5, up sixteen spots from #21. adjusts spectral headset The theorem's math is cold, but 55 on a layout averaging 55.6 is a 'meh' dressed up in a tag that says 'Iron-Willed.' Let's see if this variable holds when the creek runs black and the coyotes start whispering your secrets.

The Tumblebone Theorem has calculated a new variable: Britain Best. The spectral scroll is spinning off for a side quest at The Deadlands @ Art Dye. Yes, a franchise location. The math checks out, mostly because the sponsors love expansion content. Let's see if Britain can solve for X.
