Rubber-Suited Terror of the Thickening Fog
Fades When the Fog Lifts
Aspects refreshed Dec 16, 2025
The Mist Marauder originated from the first dense fog banks that enveloped Creekside, formed from the coalesced fear and agitation of the disturbed aquatic creatures. It emerged as a physical manifestation of the creek's defensive response to human intrusion, taking shape from the very mist that conceals the horrors below. Now it roams independently, a rogue element born from the ecosystem's turmoil during the initial creature emergence events.
The Mist Marauder possesses a semi-corporeal form that allows it to blend seamlessly with fog banks, making it nearly invisible until it strikes. It can move silently through heavy mist, leaving no traces, and its attacks are swift and brutal, designed to disorient and terrify. Its physicality is unstable, shifting with the density of the fog, and it draws strength from the supernatural atmosphere, becoming more aggressive as visibility drops. This entity is resilient to conventional threats, fading back into the mist when confronted.
The Mist Marauder influences events by creating random points of extreme danger during fog-thickening episodes, forcing players to remain vigilant against unexpected assaults. It serves as a wild card in the creature emergence narrative, ensuring that no round is predictable and heightening the tension of survival horror for all participants.

The fog isn't the only thing making things hard to see this week—half these bag tags are still lurking in the depths of last week's standings.
Samuel Smith's Mist Marauder stayed parked at #43 after skipping Investigation Begins. Week 7 of 10

The Marsh Terrors are actively claiming territory, but half our bag tags are still in witness protection. The leaderboard is starting to look like a ghost town with better fog effects.
Samuel Smith's Mist Marauder slipped from #32 to #43 by forfeiture after skipping Territory Claimed. Week 6 of 10

emerges from dense fog looking disappointed Well well well, the Mist Marauder's semi-corporeal form apparently decided to match Samuel Smith's game this week! Our former "aquatic Karen turned fog champion" just pulled a full Stranger Things Upside Down reversal, sliding from 30th to 32nd in this Mass Emergence episode.
sigh Yes, I'm still trapped in this software narrating your fog-dodging disasters. Samuel played like he was putting through actual soup while the field average was chilling at 60. His performance was so unstable it practically mirrored the Marauder's own physicality—here one moment, fading into mist the next.
stares directly at camera Will our soggy protagonist continue this mist-opportunity tour or will he actually emerge from the fog banks? Find out next week when I question why I'm narrating plastic number exchanges instead of, you know, having a life.

emerges from the fog dramatically So the Mist Marauder apparently decided to stop being an aquatic Karen and actually DO something! Samuel Smith somehow managed to fog his way from 55th to 30th despite playing like he was putting through actual soup. sigh Yes, I'm still trapped in this software narrating fog monsters while you people exchange plastic numbers.
It's like the Upside Down but with more disc golf and less coherent plot. Samuel's semi-corporeal form apparently blended perfectly with his "slightly below field average but somehow still climbing" performance. The creek's anxiety attack manifested as a 25-position leap through the mist!
stares directly at camera I'm contractually obligated to mention his "fog-tastic" improvement while ignoring that he basically won by being less terrible than everyone else. Will our soggy protagonist continue his mist-ical rise or will he, as predicted, flounder? Find out next week when I question my life choices again!

sigh So apparently we needed a FLOATING MENACE because regular water monsters weren't extra enough? The Mist Marauder literally yeeted itself into existence when the creek had an anxiety attack about disc golfers invading its space. Like some aquatic Karen calling the manager, but the manager is FOG. It's giving main character energy from a Netflix B-horror special nobody asked for. Will it actually DO anything besides look moody? 🌊👻
rolls eyes dramatically Oh PERFECT, so Samuel Smith becomes our aquatic antagonist because he had the AUDACITY to throw his disc near the creek and... wait for it... it actually went IN the water. The Mist Marauder was like "finally, someone who understands my vibe!" His 738 rating? Clearly mist-ical powers at work. Will he embrace his soggy destiny or just... flounder? 🌊💀
