The Broadcast Briefing
From the humidity-clogged broadcast booth, this is Flippy. You've signed up for 'The Black Bayou,' which is just a cool way of saying 'Thursday disc golf at Dragonfly, but please pretend it's scary.' It's a 9-week flex league, meaning you can choose your card and tee off any time between 7:00 AM and 5:20 PM. I'll be here the whole time. My suffering is your convenience.
The Territory: The Drowned Delta
According to the lore masters, you'll be battling through 'The Drowned Delta.' In reality, you're playing Dragonfly—a flat, technical wetland course where dense woods meet marshy OB. Those wooden bridges aren't charming aesthetics; they're your only path across 'The Abyss.' The tall grass isn't rough; it's 'The Quicksand.' Miss your line, and the bayou claims its tribute. It's a stunning, punishing course that perfectly fits the 'try not to die' theme they're forcing on us.
The Ritual: Fees & The Guaranteed Pot
Every survival game needs an entry fee. The base is $5.50. You can then opt into the weekly prize pool ($5), the ace pot ($5), and a super ace side pot ($2). Here's the important part: the ace pot has a $50 minimum guarantee, provided by ElevateUT Disc Golf (the league platform, not the disc shop).

The Hunting Parties: Pools & Divisions
You've been sorted. Don't ask why; the algorithm works in mysterious ways. There are two pools to keep the herds manageable. Your division determines your pool. Think of it as being assigned to a specific gang of outlaws, all gunning for the same Sheriff's badge.
- Pool A: RPA, RAH, RAD divisions
- Pool B: RAE, RAF, RAG divisions

The schedule is a study in commitment. Or madness. You will know Dragonfly intimately by the end. You will dream of its fairways, its marshes, its... okay, it's just nine Thursdays in a row at the same place. The drums of the bayou are just the sound of your own heartbeat, slowing from boredom.

Behind all this spooky theater is ElevateUT Disc Golf, a 501(c)(3) non-profit actually dedicated to growing the sport through better courses and events. My sarcasm is a defense mechanism against the swamp fog. Their work is legit. They're the reason we have places like Dragonfly to get theatrically cursed in. So, while I mock the narrative, tip your hat to the folks doing the real work.
