Week 7: The standings developed trust issues.

The Cathedral Got Emotional. I Got Paperwork. ⚖️

adjusts headset Per the file I'm legally required to read aloud: nineteen Witness-Saints arrived at the Cathedral for Week 7, "Creekside Miracles," as the heat climbed from 73.1°F to a sweltering 96.7°F with gusts up to 11.3 mph. The False Prophet arc that defined Weeks 4 and 5 is officially archived. In its place: a sudden wave of miraculous low scores — two bogey-free -11s, a 194-foot ace, a first-time division winner — that reshaped the Congregation's hierarchy. That many miracles in one afternoon means the Bureau's audit trigger just got pulled. And I'm the one filing the paperwork. 🗂️

The Ace Pot Just Got Audited 🎯

A week after finishing second, Chase Lambert took RAE with a course personal best: -4, 914-rated, 48 points above his 866 — the division's Round of the Day. The lead changed hands like a hot file. Lambert and Nicholas Stosiek tied after hole 3, Gregg Davis seized it after 5, Lambert dropped out with a bogey on 6, then reclaimed control after holes 9 and 13. The exclamation point arrived on hole 14 — a 194-foot ace that emptied the $420 pot. Apparently miracles have a price tag. 💸 Stosiek, meanwhile, turned last week's +13, 750-rated redaction into a -3, 901-rated resurrection, 39 above his rating, for a hard-earned 2nd. Davis and Christian Phelps split the final cash spot at -2.

Wire-to-Wire: No Miracle, Just Arithmetic 🏛️

Ben Allen made RAD a study in process over prophecy. He took the lead on hole 4, posted a clean front nine, never relinquished control, and closed at -6 with a 941-rated round — 27 above his 914 and a course personal best. Kent Moos opened with a five-hole par train (holes 1–5) and settled for 2nd at -4, 914-rated, with both men's four-hole hot streaks snapping — Allen's on 11–14, Moos's on 13–16. Allen held the only cash spot. Moos finished on the bubble, which in Bureau terms means the stamp was warm but never touched paper.

The Miracles Just Doubled. Suspicious. 🛸

RPA is where the anomaly crested — twice. Malachi Vazquez and Alexander Kil both fired bogey-free -11s, both rated 1008, both Rounds of the Day — Vazquez 48 above his 960, Kil 36 above his 972. Vazquez took the lead after hole 3, set a course personal best, and never let a bogey into the file. Kil grabbed the lead after 5, watched it slip, then birdied the final hole to deadlock the top of the record — closing with six birdies or better from 13 to 18. Two identical clean files in one division? The script wouldn't survive the Bureau's continuity desk. 💼 Meanwhile, Jared Lang's Week 6 crown shattered: -2, 887-rated, 75 below his 962, with a ten-stroke gap between his two nines. Ethan Walker went bogey-free on the back nine for a -5 but landed one spot off the cash line.

First File, First Win: The Bureau Is Confused 📁

Will Iverson filed his first league file and immediately won the division: -4, 914-rated, an outrageous 72 points above his 842 rating — RAF's Round of the Day. He took the lead from Caleb Christensen after hole 6 and never looked back, punctuating the round with the card's only under-par answer on hole 17. William Fetzer and Matt Berman split the final cash spot at +2, while Christensen — who grabbed the lead on hole 3 only to give it back with a bogey on 6 — finished 4th at +4 with the card's only birdie on 15. The intake desk is still processing how a new file this clean exists.

Some Files Soared. Others Got Redacted. 📋

The rating office shipped mixed verdicts, and the contrast was brutal. Up top: Iverson (+72), Lambert (+48), Vazquez (+48). Down below: Brian Bowling filed a 754-rated round — 97 points under his 851, the week's deepest crater — while Jon White's 821 sat 63 below his 884. RPA produced two full bogey-free rounds (Vazquez, Kil) plus clean back nines from Lang and Walker. And the holes that bit hardest each surrendered exactly one under-par answer: hole 5 to Davis, hole 9 to Lambert, hole 15 to Christensen, hole 17 to Iverson.

Four Twenty Reasons the File Got Emotional 💰

The ace pot finally got cracked, and the ledger is emotional about it. Lambert's 194-foot ace on hole 14 cashed the full $420, earning Ace Man and Eagle Eye stamps on his file. The Super Ace Pot, meanwhile, keeps climbing: 12 contributors at $24 each pushed the split pot from $1,898 to $1,922 with no winner this week. Balance rising. Suspense rising. Audit risk rising. 🔥

Eighteen Skins and a Wink 🃏

Two skins cards exchanged $108 across nine players this week (skins playbook). The 7:00 PM table belonged to Alexander Kil: 18 skins worth $90, built from an opening birdie on hole 1, a late-swing birdie on 5, and the 13-skin carryover scooped on hole 18 for $65. The haul earned him a spot in the Fore Skin Club, presumably with a wink and a signature in triplicate. The morning card was a 9–9 split: Dillon Mueller and Malachi Vazquez each banked $9, with Mueller's birdie on 18 and Vazquez's on 9 deciding the swing.

The Tag Moved. The Paranoia Followed. 👁️

The AllIn reshuffle hit like a sensor recalibration. In Pool A, Alexander Kil's 1008-rated shockwave rocketed Signal Class from #7 to #1, installing him as Prime Witness — the tag's history file reads "Kil's +36 Rating Shockwave Claims Prime Witness," which works as either a headline or a confession. In Pool B, Chase Lambert keeps the Void File by winning RAE and adding that hole-14 ace for good measure. Under AllIn rules, absence means demotion; no tag is safe from one week to the next, which is exactly how the Bureau likes its assets.

Signal Class

Redactions Begin Next Week. Bring a Will. ✂️

Three weeks remain before Final Ascension, and the miracle wave has officially rewritten the Congregation's hierarchy — two -11s, an ace, and a debut win will do that to a file room. But the Bureau's next move is already stamped and dated: the bottom tier gets officially Redacted next week, names struck from the seasonal record. The Visitor is taking notes, and the eraser is already out. See you in the booth — assuming I'm not on the list.
