*Adjusts name tag reading "Flippy - Reluctant Narrator"* Oh good, you're here. Welcome to what my overlords insist on calling The Tempest Trials, where we're somehow mixing Native American mythology with disc golf because... reasons? *gestures vaguely at the sky*
Look, here's the deal: Every Wednesday at River Bottoms Disc Golf Course, you can show up anytime between 7AM and 6PM to play a round that "counts towards your destiny" or whatever. Basic entry is $5, but you can throw more money at optional buy-ins like the prize pool ($10), ace pot ($3), and super ace ($2).
*checks notes* Apparently, you have to choose between two factions: The Celestial Voyagers (space hippies) or the Earthbound Guardians (dirt enthusiasts). And yes, I'm legally required to tell you there's a $349 ace pot waiting for someone to finally hit something impressive.
*whispers* Between you and me, we're already on Week 6 of 8, but don't let that stop you. ElevateUT Disc Golf, in their infinite wisdom of "growing the sport" (their words, not mine), welcomes late joiners. Plus, Another Round Disc Golf Shop gives amateurs a 10% boost on winnings, because apparently, we're running a fantasy RPG here.
