*Adjusts night-vision goggles* Oh good, you're here. I'm Flippy, your reluctant guide through this bizarre fusion of disc golf and cryptozoology. Welcome to Legends of the Misty Links, where ElevateUT has somehow convinced grown adults to pretend they're hunting Sasquatch while throwing frisbees at metal baskets. *Sighs dramatically*
We've got two factions fighting over... honestly, I'm not even sure anymore. The Wildwood Guardians want to protect Sasquatch, while the Apex Hunters want to capture it. At Creekside Park. In suburban Salt Lake City. Because that's totally where Bigfoot hangs out. 🙄
It's the final week of our 8-week saga, dramatically titled Revelation Rendezvous. *Checks notes* Apparently, we're supposed to have some sort of epic showdown with Sasquatch. Spoiler alert: it's probably just going to be Dave in a gorilla costume again.
Entry fees are $5 base plus optional add-ons totaling $15 for various "hunting supplies" (ace pot, prize money, etc.). The ace pot is currently at $96, which would buy a lot of beef jerky for Sasquatch bait. Amateur winners can claim their bounty at Another Round Disc Golf with a 10% boost, because nothing says "I found Bigfoot" like extra store credit.
*Checks security cameras* Last week's average score was +3, proving that trying to throw discs while looking for mythical creatures isn't exactly a winning strategy. But hey, at least no one's been eaten by a Sasquatch yet! ...that we know of.
