The first to embrace the Neon Heresy was a player at Bogey Nights who stared too long at the neon glow around hole 7 and realized the light was just corrupted signal wearing Blockbuster gold. They understood that the Chaintrix sells you the pretty picture while the static does the actual recording.

Visual duality allowing perception of both neon overlay and static beneath simultaneously, signal corruption detection that reads truth in tracking errors the aesthetic hides, and chromatic splitting that separates Blockbuster gold from midnight blue to find what lies between.

The Neon Heresy serves as the Chaintrix's hidden truth detector - it reveals what the neon aesthetic conceals, proving that the beautiful gradients are just corrupted signal wearing a costume, and using this knowledge to predict where the simulation's pretty lies will collapse into static.
