When upstream construction equipment breached both a chemical storage facility and an ancient Native American burial ground, the toxic runoff didn't just kill the fish downstream - it reanimated the disturbed remains. The first Runoff Revenant emerged from a storm drain during the initial creature sightings, its waterlogged form bearing the chemical stains of industrial negligence and the vengeful purpose of the desecrated dead.

The Runoff Revenant appears as a shambling humanoid figure perpetually dripping with oily, discolored water that leaves rainbow sheens on any surface it touches. Its flesh bears the mottled green and orange stains of chemical contamination, while strips of waterlogged fabric hang from its deteriorating form like kelp. The creature moves with the relentless, unsteady gait of classic movie zombies, but its footsteps splash with each movement, leaving behind puddles that smell of industrial runoff and decay.

The Runoff Revenant serves as the environmental conscience of the creek system, appearing wherever contaminated water has flowed to remind players of the human cost of industrial negligence. It shambles through the course during fog events, growing stronger and more numerous as the season progresses and additional runoff continues to disturb more burial sites downstream.
