Scoring System
IRON GRIP AWARD SCORING RUBRIC
Rewards successfully defending high-value bag tags (top 20). Requires 3+ successful defenses with 50%+ performance above field average.
1. Defense Length (50 points per event)
• Each successful defense = 50 points
• Example
4 event defense = 200 points
2. Tag Position (0-500 points)
• (20 - tag number) × 25
• Higher tags earn more points
• Example
Tag #5 = 375 points
3. Field Performance (15 points each)
• Each round better than field average
• Example
3 rounds beating average = 45 points
4. Rating Excellence (20 points each)
• Each round rated 950+
• Example
2 rounds 950+ = 40 points
TOTAL SCORE CALCULATION
Final Score = Defense Length + Tag Position + Field Performance + Rating Excellence

- Tag #5 (375 points)
- 3 rounds above average (45 points)
- 2 rounds 950+ (40 points)
Total = 660 points
Higher scores indicate longer defenses of more valuable tags with better performance.
