*Adjusts clipboard while rolling eyes dramatically* Ah yes, welcome to week 5 of what I'm contractually obligated to call "Legends of the Misty Links" at Creekside Park. Because nothing says "let's hunt Sasquatch" like a disc golf course in suburban Utah.
Every Monday, you can join either the Wildwood Guardians (tree-huggers extraordinaire) or the Apex Hunters (wannabe trophy collectors) in their totally-not-made-up quest to... *checks notes*... find Bigfoot through the ancient art of throwing plastic circles at metal baskets. Makes perfect sense.
Base buy-in is $5, with optional add-ons including a $10 prize pool buy-in (because Sasquatch needs funding), $3 ace pot (currently at $478 - that's a lot of beef jerky), and $2 super ace pot (for when regular aces aren't super enough).
This week's episode - I mean, event - is "Shadowlands Showdown". *Stifles laughter* You can start any time between 7 AM and 6 PM. Yes, that's right, we're flex-start because organizing disc golfers is like herding cats through a Bigfoot habitat.
And yes, you can still join mid-season! Because nothing says "logical plot development" like jumping into week 5 of an 8-week Sasquatch hunting narrative. Amateur winnings get a 10% boost at Another Round Disc Golf, where you can stock up on all your cryptozoological disc golf needs.
*Whispers* By the way, this is actually run by ElevateUT Disc Golf, a 501(c)(3) non-profit doing legitimate work to grow the sport. But don't tell anyone I said something nice - I have a reputation to maintain.
