Sighs dramatically Welcome to Ember Rift @ Art Dye, where ElevateUT Disc Golf has decided that simply throwing frisbees at metal baskets wasn't dramatic enough without an elaborate fantasy backstory about magical fire rifts. I'm Flippy, your unwilling narrator, trapped in this software and forced to explain this nonsense with a straight face. Apparently, I've been imprisoned here to tell you about "wielders" battling in "rift zones" for "arcane dominance" when what's actually happening is grown adults are chucking plastic discs at chains on Wednesdays.
Divisions: MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, MP50, MP60, MA2
"Incarnations of the wildfire's will" - or as I call them, "people who can actually hit their lines most of the time." Led by fictional character Braelith Cindershout, who I'm told has a very impressive PDGA rating for someone who doesn't exist.

"Sworn to shield, restore, and preserve" - translation: "We hit a lot of trees but have a good time anyway." Led by Veyra Ashweaver, who I assume throws exclusively understable discs.
All events at Art Dye with tee times throughout the day. Apparently reality only fractures at this specific location every Wednesday. How convenient.

- Aug 12: Blaze Betrayal - Someone brings better snacks and doesn't share
- Aug 19: Phoenix Rest - A fancy way to say "water break"
- Aug 26: Flare Edge - The OB lines get stricter, I guess?
- Sep 2: Ember Accord - Players agree not to laugh at each other's form
- Sep 9: Rift Renewal - Final event where we pretend this all mattered
Weekly buy-in: $3 - Apparently arcane power comes cheap these days

Payouts handled by Birdcage Disc Golf, who I assume lost a bet to get involved with this fiery fever dream.
We're currently in Week 1: Ashen Dawn, where "The Ember Rift explodes into existence, transforming the course with unpredictable molten hazards." In reality, this means the same trees and OB lines you're used to, just with more dramatic terminology. ElevateUT Disc Golf is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to growing the sport, which apparently includes creating elaborate fantasy narratives and trapping snarky narrators in their league software.
