Welcome to the dig. Ghost rock mining descent into the mineral that shattered the natural order. The ore screams when it burns. Miners come back changed—if they come back. Your pickaxe is a disc. The mountain is Creekside Park. Let's see who survives.
The Dig
This is ElevateUT's Monday league, but we're not calling it that. This is 'The Burning Vein.' A nine-week excavation into your own skill ceiling, played out on the same cursed territory every week. Collapsing tunnels, green-glowing veins, pickaxes driven by players who will definitely complain about the wind. The club's mission is to grow the sport; consider this fertilizing the soil with your shattered dreams and, more importantly, with actual grass seed for Hole 6 (more on that later).
The competitive arc is a gold rush with teeth. Everyone's digging the same vein, and the deeper you go, the less human the competition becomes. You'll be fighting for a bag tag, which in this series is a 'Wanted' poster with your name on it. Hold a low number? You're the Sheriff, and every outlaw with a higher number is gunning for you. The mountain always wins. But maybe, just maybe, you can beat the odds and park hole 6.
The Claim
Your ante to enter the mine. The prize buy-in is for those who think their skill can pay the bills. The Ace Pot is for hitting a 'Hexed Relic'—break the curse, claim the cash. The Super Ace is for when one miracle isn't enough.
The Shift
Mondays. Starting 4/20/2026. Choose your own card flex start, with tee times from 7:00 AM to 5:20 PM. Work your shift whenever the boss (your schedule) allows. All nine weeks are at Creekside Park. Consistency is key, or it's a slow descent into madness. You decide.
The Crew
Miners are separated into two crews for safety (and scoring).
- Pool A: The seasoned prospectors (Divisions RPA, RAH, RAD).
- Pool B: The eager claim-jumpers (Divisions RAE, RAF, RAG).
You'll be ranked against your own crew. It's less 'every man for himself' and more 'every man in his designated hazard zone.'
The Motherlode
The Ace Pot starts with a $50 minimum guarantee from ElevateUT Disc Golf (that's us, the platform running this show). This means the displayed pot will look stuck at $50 until the total contributions from players exceed that amount. We top it up to $50 if needed. Think of it as the mining company's safety net.
A special thanks to our local retail partner, Another Round Salt Lake City, for their support. They supply the tools, but the guarantee comes from the platform, not the shop.
The Permanent Improvement
The Deeper Vein
This league is one territory in the larger 'Deadlands Weird West' series. Your performance here feeds into the overarching survival narrative. The bag tag you fight for is part of the 'Wanted' system. Will you become the Sheriff, a Deputy, or remain an Outlaw? The tags are portable across Deadlands leagues. Your reputation—and target—follows you.
This is Week 1. The tunnel is open. The canaries are silent. It's time to see who can handle the pressure of the deep dark, and who just gets tree-nied by the support beams.
